Any idea were Elf could land this holiday season if it is indeed returning?? The Richard Rodgers was just taken, perhaps the Nederlander??
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
These houses have nothing officially announced as of yet:
Nederlander Cort Longacre Barrymore Belasco Kerr Golden
The Palace, Lunt-Fontanne, Neil Simon and/or Broadhurst could be possibilities if their tenants don't make it past Labor Day. Updated On: 6/29/11 at 10:25 PM
I think it's hard to tell what theater it will go in at this point. It's only going to be taking space for 3 months at the most, so I'm sure it will be a last minute addition. I wonder if the cast will be the same or if they'll try and get the same people?
well considering that Elf was nearly sold-out for it's short run last year I would imagine the producers would want it to return. Could the Nederlander work??

It was only a "sell out" hit during Christmas. The first couple of weeks it wasn't doing so great. But maybe now that it has a run under its belt, it will pull more people in. I don't see why they shouldn't run it from November until the end of January.
It could certainly take The Neil Simon and be out by the time JCS needs to move in.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe."
-John Guare, Landscape of the Body
My friend saw it and said it was really cute (besides a few jokes that really should not have been included). I would be interested in seeing it this season.
"I will not cease from mental fight, nor shall my sword sleep in my hand: Till we have built Jerusalem in England's green and pleasant land."
I had no desire to see it last year, my KIDS had no desire to see it. I'm not even bringing it up this year.
Interesting question about it having been in a Jumacyn theater. I wonder if they have "dibs" on it should they have anything available. If that's the case, I would assume certain perameters have been established as to what would be acceptable or not.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
