Playbill Ceases Operations for Touring Productions
 Sep 22 2024, 03:23:28 PM

I agree: Playbillder is pretty weak in their formatting.  It's a decent amount of work to do on your end, and it's not cheap (especially to use their printing services).  We used to make our own, and then a parent wanted to "upgrade" and paid for it themselves for a year or two.  The the parents decided to always use it - and all the money we used to make from ads, ended up going simply to pay for the program.

Ragtime City Center Seating (Great Seats without Breaking the Bank)

Sight lines are pretty good at CC.  I've been in both the mezz and the balcony without complaints.  I've never sat EXTREME side, as I'm always wary.

Kit Connor, Rachel Zegler to star in Sam Gold-directed ROMEO + JULIET

I don't see how it's necessary, either - but I'll reserve judgement.   I could see it in the ball scene or even in some of the street scenes.

I'll throw in my 2 cents, and I'm an east coast gal, I LOVE pineapple on pizza. Particularly yummy?  With Ricotta and carmelized onions.  MMMmmmmmm.  (I now live outside of Boston, and every pizza place I know of offers pineapple.)  It's good with jalepeno, too!

Oof, for me, that would be awful. I don't want to be a part of the show.

I think you need to fault the production, not the ticket seller.   SeatGeek doesn't set the prices.

Let's start with your disdain of most of the people on this board.
OUR TOWN Previews

Seeing this next month....was tempted by the on stage seats, but they weren't covered by the discount code. (And I'm a sucker for 30% off Gibbs30)

I was in awe of Cromer's OT of a few years ago. Uncontrollably sobbing.  (Which has only happened in a handful of shows.)  So this will have to be pretty damn special to top or even equal that one.

But I hope.

Thanks to whomever said an act structure

Still looking for a code for Swept Away if anyone has one!

Considering they didn't make the show eligible for off Bway awards, that doesn't seem to align with the powers that be.

Could you not see it again at an off bway house?

Ah! But what if they mean "Back (to New York City) to Broadway (this time)"?

SEMANTICS FIGHT!!!
"

Put 'em up!

Then they should write more clearly.

Denzel Washington to return to Broadway in OTHELLO?
 Sep 12 2024, 01:48:34 PM

After waiting for almost an hour, I went in, searched a few dates (ah, the joy of being newly retired!) and grabbed tix. Decided front balcony wasnt priced too terribly, and was surprised by how many seats were available for under $200.  Just a few days before opening, so the show should be well frozen.

Cannot wait.

Little Shop...Who Leads? Anyone know?

Ellen Greene is in her 70s for crying out loud.  Who would you cast as her Seymour?  Or Orin?  Mushnick?

James Earl Jones dead at 93
 Sep 9 2024, 05:04:58 PM

Oof.

I only got to see him 2x on Bway, but was a huge fan of his work.  I found him mesmerizing.

May his memory be a blessing.
