I know technically not in previews anymore, but I had a seating question for those that have seen this already! Looking to get 30under30 tickets and wondering if there's any "better" side to sit on between Orchestra Left and Orchestra Right?

I also had never heard of Williams and, seeing the show today, I also thought he gave the best performance in a strong cast.

99% of the production is played downstage center, I don’t think anyone could make an argument favoring either side! Orchestra Left likely gives the best vantage point to JW and PJA’s lockers, which are slightly stage left.

I dont know about you guys performances, but JTF was the clear MVP of this play. Its funny, kinda awkward, its a totally opposite side of the play, he was amazing.

The cast is all great, both Adams, Williams and the Guy playing Shane were well rounded with their characters, and the play/Production is very good. Maybe not very beautiful to look at, but its engaging and has a great act 2. Really solid and totally recommended production.

Saw this show Yesterday with a bunch of friends and we all loved it! We thought the performances were great, it was funny, and it was really deep and interesting. My friend who is a "sports slash theatre" person definitely liked it the most and was telling me how she thinks she'll still be thinking about it for a long time.

All four of us like men so... uh... that didn't hurt either. We were completely taken aback by the massive size of Jesse William's acting talents (I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I had to). But I do mean that seriously. I know some weren't a fan of his performance, but I thought he was great. His performance really worked for both the humor and to show how unaffected he was (or was projecting to be) by some of the events. JTF was also definitely a standout too. His relationship with JW was done so well (on both sides) and his baseball monologues were great.

I really had no concept of time in that theatre, so maybe the timing wouldn't work, but I kinda wonder how it would play if intermission came after Act 2 instead of Act 1. It did feel pretty off-balance with so little really happening in Act 1 and so much happening in Acts 2 and 3.

Does a discount code exist for this show? I wasn't successful in getting a rush ticket on TodayTix. Thank you so much in advance.

I have a single extra ticket to TONIGHT’s performance if anyone is nearby the area and wants. Right orchestra. I am willing to give it way especially to someone who couldn’t afford otherwise. I can meet you at the theater at 6:30. Private message me.

You are referring to house left correct? Does Jesse do all 8 performances? Anyone know?

This production was my favorite out of the 6 shows we saw last week.  The acting was superb all around.  I think the play resonates so much more these days.  I hope it lands a bunch of Tonys.

Thoroughly enjoyed...and for anyone interested in celebrity sightings: Joel Grey, Ellen Pompeo and Dylan McDermott were all in attendance last Friday night!

Just got back from the play tonight. WOW. Best show we've seen this season. The cast is outstanding, the play itself is great, and it's a stellar night of theatre. (Neither I or my fiancee have seen a production of the play before, so that may have heightened our enjoyment. But a great show nonetheless.)

On a separate note, something very strange happened at our show. It was the final scene, and with only a few minutes left in the play, someone from the mezzanine yelled "Is anyone here a doctor? Call an ambulance! Call 9-1-1!"

Someone upstairs had passed out, thought no one in the orchestra could see. They stopped the show and the lights came on, but because of the Yondr phone pouches...nobody could access their phones! (!!!!!)

Thankfully house management, stage management and the cast all handled it like pros. There was a doctor in the audience and she attended to the scene, and a few minutes later the usher said everyone was fine and for us to re-take our seats so they could finish the play. Everyone was in fact OK, but it was still a distressing end to the show.

This reminds me of the time someone died in the middle of a NY Philharmonic concert.

I'm looking at seats and there's partial view seats (right next to premium) in the side orchestra (Orchestra E6). Does anyone know how much of the stage is obstructed?

I saw the show last night and holy sh it was SO good. I can't believe I almost decided to skip it based on tepid initial responses on this thread. I strongly recommend going to see it. All 4 lead performers (technically supporting but you know the main 4 characters) were top notch. I am curious to see this TV series they're apparently working on. Wondering if they'll get Dennis O Hare to reprise his role or not. I'd have loved to see his portrayal even though Jesse was really good in the role.

Caption: Every so often there was a rare moment of perfect balance when I soared above him.

We had been seated for today's matinee when an announcement was made for a 10 minute delay due to technical difficulties. Ultimately they announced the matinee was cancelled. All that was mentioned what that the technical difficulties couldn't be overcome. So bummed to miss it since today's the last day of our trip, but there are worse things for sure!

https://nypost.com/2022/05/09/naked-video-of-take-me-out-star-jesse-williams-leaked-after-tony-nomination/

Surprised no one has mentioned this yet. It is terrible that someone would take these pictures in any setting, but it is shocking how hard they must have worked to take a video even with Second Stage's strict monitoring with the Yondr cases. I hope it didn't put too much of a damper on his Tony nomination.

It was mentioned but (of course) the posts were deleted.

I don’t think they’ll have any negative impact to the show or him.

Of course the video leak made prices insane, so I was only able to grab a couple of Row Q center for tomorrow night. Last time I was in the rear orchestra at the Hayes was in the Xanadu says, how is the view from there?

Agree that the prices are insane now, but these reviews sort of solidify that it's a must-see event.

I can't speak for the orchestra or this production, but I sat in the last row of the mezz for What the Constitution Means to Me and it was an excellent view. Not sure there's a bad seat in the house at The Hayes.
