Help me decide
 Sep 8 2024, 01:52:47 PM

Thanks!
so I now have Ragtime (wow what a cast and I love loved c. levy in next to normal)
sh*t hit fan
Tammy Faye…
oh Mary is available and might pull the trigger (but do you think it really worth $353 ticket)?

and the last one will be either death becomes her, sunset blvd, or maybe happy ending——leaning towards sunset due to the west end success
thanks again for your opinions! So helpful

Help me decide
 Sep 5 2024, 06:17:31 PM

Thanks - my problem is I like it all!
I would pick a musical over a play generally.
I usually visit once a year, but I haven’t been since last May.
I appreciate your opinions!

Help me decide
 Sep 3 2024, 10:44:24 PM

You all were great to help me decide on shows for West End, and now I’m asking for advice on shows in NYC for early November. I have room for 5 shows.

Which ones are must sees or you think will be or which ones to take off list?

death becomes her
outsiders
the roommate
tammy faye
water for elephants
sunset blvd
great gatsby
maybe happy ending
a wonderful world
mcneal
something else?

Thanks so much as alwa

Imelda Staunton Hello, Dolly starts tonight!

I agree with so much that’s been said. Jenna appeared too old for the role. Her vocals were just OK but acting good. Everything and every character seemed more subdued, more reserved. There was more dialogue and talk-singing. I actually thought at times Staunton was trying to imitate Streisand! Her vocals were not bad and improved in the second act, so I’m thinking they will get even better as she settles in. All that said, I really enjoyed it and agree it’s w

At intermission I have to admit the orchestra is the main highlight…

What to see next week- West End
 Jul 6 2024, 08:55:03 AM

Thanks to everyone - reporting back here what I have seen:

Next to Normal - love loved it! This is a tremendous cast and I saw the OBC with Alice and Aaron.
Operation Mincemeat - really liked it - “Dear Bill” brilliant

Stranger Things - loved it! Surprisingly good acting and amazing effects

Standing at the Sky’s Edge - really liked it- I think this is one that I will grow to love but the score didn’t stand out to me

What to see next week- West End

I have read lots of your posts here for years and can say I trust your opinion immensely! So Sky’s Edge is a definite. What do you think of Operation Mincemeat or Kiss Me Kate with SJB? Or would you try out Hello Dolly with Imelda that’s just opening? I’ve also never seen Slave Play…so that is another option…thanks for your response!

Taking a spur of the moment trip to London next week and maybe can see 2-3 shows. What would you choose? Kiss Me Kate, Hello Dolly. Standing at Sky’s Edge, something else?
Thanks for helping me!

TAKE ME OUT Previews
 Apr 13 2022, 05:28:19 PM

I have a single extra ticket to TONIGHT’s performance if anyone is nearby the area and wants. Right orchestra. I am willing to give it way especially to someone who couldn’t afford otherwise. I can meet you at the theater at 6:30. Private message me.

BACK TO THE FUTURE - West End
 Mar 23 2022, 12:15:14 AM

New to the West End arena here, but going in May. If I only can pick 2-3 shows, any advice on which ones must see?
Was thinking C*ck, glass menagerie, back to the future but open to others! Please advise…thanks!

BLACK NO MORE Musical premiering at the New Group in January 2022, with a buzzy creative team & cast

Saw this today and liked it. It does need some work - especially pacing and some music changes. Cast is great. So much potential I hope it gets to transfer!

THE MUSIC MAN Reviews
 Feb 12 2022, 11:34:39 PM

Saw this tonight and like another poster couldn’t stop smiling. It’s fun, funny, and the talent is ginormous. The dancing may be better than the singing overall, but both are very very good. Sutton as the librarian was not miscast!! Her performance was a standout for me. I was fortunate to not pay as much as many since I bought tickets in 2020, but I would pay to see it again for sure!

One Last Time…
 Feb 6 2022, 09:47:22 PM

Yet another “help me decide” before upcoming trip…

I have room for one more matinee. Trying to decide between Six, Black No More, MJ, or Intimate Apparel…
Leaning towards Black No More or Intimate Apparel because I have read the other two are more like “concerts” which sound less appealing to me. Please give me your advice and why you would choose which one! Thank you!

Thank you so much for your reply! So helpful. Because it’s Valentines I don’t mind the splurge, but I wonder also what you think about the actual shows, between Judy Kuhn alone with Brandon Uranowitz special appearance versus the love songs with lesser known Broadway talent?  Honestly trying to decide between these or just another Broadway show.

Anyone been here? Looking for something to do on Valentine’s and trying to decide between this venue with Judy Kuhn or 54 Below love songs with several Broadway performers. Would you pick one over the other and why? Thanks for your advice!

Advice on what else to see in Feb
 Dec 29 2021, 02:06:29 PM

Hi all-

Excited to return to NYC like so many. Have tickets to Music Man for Feb 12 (rescheduled from when purchased for May 2020). Need to fill other slots up for 2 or 3 more.

Which of these do you recommend?
Six
Caroline or Change
Company
MJ
Girl from North Country
Mrs Doubtfire

Something else?

Really wanted to see Assassins but seems to be closing before we arrive.

Thank you for your help!
