Well, I know that we all sometimes get infatuated with new cast recordings and play them all the time, until we get tired of them or until another one that comes along. But I am sure there are a couple that you have never got tired of and keep playing them any chance you have and in between of the newer ones. I'd like to know, which is the cast recording that you keep getting out of the shelf and play it again and again ? Please try to limit them to a maximum of 3.
For me it's RENT, Hairspray and Phantom.

Posted: 6/21/05 at 8:23pmRENT. Every time I listen to it, I discover something new, or rediscover something I hadn't thought of in a while. There's not one part of that CD that doesn't hold some sort of really special memory for me, and you don't ever get tired of things that hold so much like that.

well, i have shows that ive been obsessed with right now, but i wont know if ill be sick of them later, which i doubt i will..but heres what ive liked for a while:

I don't really get tired of my DRS ocr because a lot of the songs are fairly different and there are many to chose from. Speaking of that--who's going on Thurs? Full cast and David Yazbek will be signing.

A CHORUS LINE - partially because of the life-memories it brings.
THE GOSPEL AT COLONUS - because it makes me feel elevated.
DREAMGIRLS - because it's some of the best music of any kind I've heard.

I tend to fall in love with a musical and listen to nothing but that musical for two months, and then get so sick of it that I barely listen to it again. With Hairpray however, I never get bored of it, and can always get into it. I even dance around in my apartment to it when nobody is around.
