Unless the Public has also arranged a mobile testing van to park outside of their theater, or set up a testing station in their lobby, I really don't see how this will help.

This is all so stupid. We have more data on Omicron now and if you have a booster you are either immune or will get only mild symptoms if infected.

I agree and to echo what others have said...it seems like if any theater can arrange this, it would be The Public.

Yeah... 72 hours is still not a lot of time in the current testing state. I've read of people waiting up to 5 days for results.
I will say that since there are no regular shows at the moment and just Joe's Pub currently and UTR coming up, this negative test ask might just be temporary, especially since it's only until January 30. At least that's what I'm hoping. Trying to be positive... well, not that kind of positive... the good kind... LOL. 😂

Replying to myself to say for the record that it took me 120 hours and eight minutes to get my PCR test results last/this week. So I guess good luck to us and The Public in January!

Took me 4.5 days to get results from last week. At this point, they weren’t even necessarily accurate. It’s a ridiculous ask, even if well-intentioned.

They're now requiring boosters, and it appears that the negative test policy for attendees has been eliminated:

Yes, the elimination of the negative-test requirement is buried way down in the statement to which you provided a link:
- Negative COVID tests for audience members, including children, will not be accepted as an alternative to vaccination proof. The Public has ended its additional Negative COVID test requirement, initially implemented on December 17, as of January 21, 2022, when this new policy goes into effect.
I have tickets for Suffs in April, and I just got email from the Public offering me the option to cancel my tickets “Because we made a policy adjustment after you completed your ticket transaction.”

my family member who has been vaccinated and boosted, yet ended up in the hospital earlier this week because of COVID would disagree with you. It affects everyone differently. You really care more about yourself than health and safety of say, cast members?

None of that is true, and shame on ya. I'm vaxxed, boosted, and spent a week in hospital. I'm now out, but seriously ill.
