I am working on a paper for a class on "how sex is portrayed in the theater" and I am looking of examples of shows worth referencing...(spring awakening, rent, Equus, Closer Than Ever, Hair...)
Can you guys give me some ideas of shows with "sex" in it to a "noteable" degree (something worth referencing in a paper)
When someone blunders, we say that he makes a misstep. Is it then not clear that all the ills of mankind, all the tragic misfortunes that fill our history books, all the political blunders, all the failures of the great leaders have arisen merely from a lack of skill in dancing. - Moliere
See What I Wanna See has two somewhat lengthy (but clothed) sex scenes...it's the same two people but one examines it as a rape scene and one examines it as consensual sex. The act 1 and act 2 openers also have to do with sex but the song is sung by a different person each time.
Oh, Calcutta! (probably the worst of the "longest running Broadway shows")
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
Well it depends on the theater. For example we had a really difficult time getting into a comfortable position in the the Neil Simon, but no trouble at all in the balcony of the Shubert.
