And you'd still be wrong. There is at LEAST 25 people in EACH full row, so even if there were ONLY 10 rows still left (and there were plenty more than that) that alone would be 250 people.

Wherever it goes, there's no way they can use the mezz for seating unless they push all of the action in the house extremely forward in the front orchestra (basically onto the stage). And that would sort of defeat the whole point of this production. This isn't like, say, the revival of Cabaret, where Alan Cumming came down into the house one time for two minutes. A considerable amount of action happens amongst the audience.
I assume they've already sorted this issue out or they wouldn't have announced a Broadway run, even if they don't have a theatre set yet.
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
That would work out great! Plus, Fun Home already recouped its initial investment so it would not be a loss for the producers if they closed the show. Any ideas of how they could/should arrange the seating?
"Circle in the Square would be a perfect fit for this, but obviously Fun Home isnt going anywhere. "
The producers actually looked at Circle in the Square as their first option (which was empty at the time) and it was well publicized that it would not fit due to the fact that the chairs were welded into the floor and could not be taken out.
I think the Hudson would be a spectacular place because they could even leave the seats out and use tables. I disagree that a balcony would kill the show though. I think it'll be just fine to watch from above.
This doesn't make much sense. Unless they are being bought out by Natasha, Pierre like Motown was by Finding Neverland. Even so - the producers of Fun Home seem to want to keep it open as long as possible to share the message - and why would a Best Musical winner close simply to allow another Musical in? I doubt Fun Home is struggling a lot right now - there nut can't be high and they just recouped.
Here's one for the philosophers out there - if a Broadway house were to sell less than 500 tickets per performance, does it cease to be a Broadway house?

Brave Sir Robin2 said: "This photo shows how great the Hudson could be with tables and chairs. Plus, they could find a way to use the box seats?
"
It doesn't matter how it would look with tables. The problem is this show is not designed to be a precenium show. In you pix, only the front rows of the balcony or mezzanine could see anything but the stage.
Yes, they could use the boxes, but it's not enough for the interactive, immersive concept of the show.

Natasha Pierre had its first rehearsal today. Seems odd to start rehearsals for a show going up in September now. Guess we will be hearing about the full cast and the theate soon. https://twitter.com/greatcometbway/status/706582676191453184
Groban is going on a tour this summer, so it's possible that they're doing some preliminary stuff now so there's less to do once he's available.
Also, from the picture it looks like Amber Gray is back as Helene- I love her performance on the recording, so I'm thrilled she looks to be back.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
Anyone know if Brittain Ashford will be continuing her role as Sonya onto broadway? Seems a little unfair for her to be in the show for all these years, then miss out on the broadway run.
I don't mean tickets purchased, I mean physical seats available for sale - If a show was to go into any Broadway theatre, but only make less than 500 seats available for sale, is it still a Broadway show?
If they were to make another tent with more than 500 seats would that work?
I appoligise for any spelling mistakes. I may be on my mobile. Clumsy fingers and small little touchscreen keys don't mixx. I try to spellcheck, but I may miss something.
Probably not, as that isn't an established b'way theater. Isn't another part of the qualification of a bway house withing a certain geographic location?
