Thank you, Margo. I thought I read every last post, but I must have missed it in all the excitement.

Umm. I take it you haven't heard Reinking on GOODTIME CHARLEY, in her prime she had quite a nice voice.

Now, she isn't any worse than Channing. The low keys would suit her voice perfectly.

How about Diahann Carroll. I would like to see a legend get a great role again.

Well, as much as I love Diahann Carroll, we've probably seen the last of her on stage. She had to drop out of the On Golden Pond revival last year (replaced by Leslie Uggams) because, sadly, she couldn't remember her lines. And that role wasn't a particularly large one.

OK, apparently the Papermill people never read this thread because that's a hell of a boring casting choice. I doubt much people will go through the hassle of going to the Papermill to see a show that's done almost every month in different regional theatres, without an interesting star in the title role.

Tovah was very funny in LEND ME A TENOR.

Still, I can't see how they chose HER over ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never!

I've always found Tovah an excellent performer; not boring at all. I'm looking forward to seeing this.
