Just got back from her opening night in Provincetown. She was ****ing awesome. Ha Ha to all of you fools who aren't here to see her in a venue that only holds 180 in a town where she's walking up and down Commercial street all day. Great Great show. No gasping either.

Well aren't you a gigantic prick?
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

I thought about going to this show ... but didnt really want to spend the moeny for a flight there and hotel. Had it been drivable i would have definetly have gone.
I heard it was pretty similar to the Zipper Concert.
She did Take Me Or Leave Me, Defy Gravity(acoustic style) and a few others.
A dancer might dream to see her name in lights and mean it,
but all she really dreams is to make someone
else feel the way she did when she first saw a dancer.
And that is so beautiful-Anonymous
I wish I could go. Hopefully she will come out to the West Coast sometime to perform. I heard the Zipper concert was a lot of fun. Just as long as she does not got to Vegas - hopefully Spamalot will rot there, in it condensed show that they think we will pay to see rather than deserving the full tour . . . but that is for another thread . . .
Back to Idina. I have heard some of her live stuff, and it always sounds like a lot of fun. While I am not willing to fly to Boston for a concert, I would love to see her on the West Coast.
i know someone who, on thursday was her personal assisstant for the day...
pretty cool, eh?

I'm jealous (No pun intended). Idina is the only Broadway performer I would pay hard core money to see in concert. Of course her studio recorded material is fabulous but I adore all the live stuff I have gotten my hands on. Zipper was wonderful and hillarious but the Joes Pub set remains my favorite. If anyone one has any copies of songs from the recent set....

Why cant anyone just answer our question!!!??? WHAT DID SHE SING!?

She added "Company" to the line up. "Only Hurts" didn't make it. The set list (as I remember) was something along the lines of:
Take Me or Leave Me Here Penny I Have a Love Prayer/Sister Song Wedding Medley Company Minuet with Rockstar Fantasy I'll Cover You Defying Gravity
There's a good chance I forgot something...sorry if that's the case. The show was amazing. Even my friend who I dragged there loved it and wants to go to Boston next week :)

I'm seeing Idina at the Regattabar as well. I'm so incredibly excited about the show but not the drive...5 hours....ugh.
meagan9848, glad you enjoyed the show. I have all of the songs on the set list on my ipod so I set up a playlist to keep me happy until this weekend...
Mer
I had just finished shooting a coffee commercial.
And ain't it ironic? I don't drink coffee.
Coffee, coffee, coffee, coffee.
Does anyone have extra tickets to either of the 9:30 shows in Boston?
Haha yeah tell me about the 5 hour drive. It should only be 2-2.5 hours from me to Provincetown and Friday it took me close to 6. Today it was about 4. I hate Cape Cod and what it does to traffic in my state
Had I known she was going to do Boston I would have skipped Provincetown. Of course, Boston is like 20 minutes from my house...not to mention I go to school there so I have places to park and stuff

Thanks for the set list Meagan. It sounds like you had a great time except for the traffic. I'm going to the Providencetown show tonight. I'm not looking forward to drive after reading your post. It should only take me about 2 hours without traffic so we'll see.
Thanks again and I'll post my thoughts on tonight's show sometime tomorrow.
