BEST MUSISCAL REVIVAL Anything Goes How to Succeed... Oklahoma!(if it transfers)
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Tveit definitley deserves a nomination for Catch Me. I think that Norbert deserves to win. He is what makes that show. I hope it also wins Best Musical. Kerry Butler will win featured actress. Too amazing.
I would want either Patrick Page or Tom Wopat to win for Featured Actor. Patrick really deserves a Tony for carrying such a terrible show, and for having to put up with giving GREAT performances in not so good shows (Spider-Man, The Grinch, The Lion King), but Tom gives such a great performance. His "Fifty Checks" is fun and touching.
It may be a bit obvious, but I want Catch Me If You Can to win most of the categories, because it's the best show this season. Plain and simple. :)
Clearly this is without any real knowledge since most shows aren't open, but will play along.

The Scottsboro Boys* The People in the Pictre Catch Me If You Can The Book of Mormon
I really think everyone is underestimating Priscilla here. If it gets the same reaction as London/Toronto it could very much be a contender for Best Musical.

I would definitely call Henry leading over Cullum. And if I were to guess an actor in the show to be nominated for featured, it would probably be Colman Domingo. Though I think they need a Best Ensemble award instated just for this show. Of course I'm so biased I'm ready to give this show every award there is without having seen any of the spring shows yet.
I'll be damned if The Scottsboro Boys doesn't win Best Score, unless they give John Kander some sort of Lifetime Achievement Award this season. They should do both, but knowing the idiocy of the Tony Awards, they'll do ether.
If people don't think that Spiderman is not going to be nominated for best score, then they don't know how corrupt the Tonys are. The powers that be will NOT miss a chance to have U2 on the broadcast and there is no way in hell that this "score" if you can call that tuneless mess a score will NOT be ignored. Spiderman will get nominated for everything INCLUDING Best Musical, Director and all the all the technical awards (which it DOES deserve) Even Reeve Carney may get a nod although he has virtually no presence and a weak voice.
"Look I made a hat... where there never was a hat."
"Think of how I adore you, think of how much you love me. If I were perfect for you, wouldn't you tire of me?"
"Somebody, crowd me with love. Somebody, force me to care. Somebody, make me come through, I'll always be there, as frightened as you, to help us survive. Being alive. Being alive. Being alive!"
"There are worse things than staring at the water as you're posing for a picture after sleeping on the ferry after getting up at seven to come over to an island in the middle of a river half an hour from the city on a Sunday!"
