"Hold up your head. Never be afraid to shine. Viva la difference in my body and my mind. All out with loneliness Such a waste of time. Come in from the outside" ~ Taboo
The opening of The Lion King (Circle of Life) absolutely made me ball uncontrollably. I have never been that way before nor have I felt that way since. I have never seen anything so magnificent!
Phantom -All I ask of You -Wishing You Were Somehow Here (not that I'm all that fond of this song, its just that I've been a bit of a basket case emotionally since my dad died)

~"Wheels of a Dream" Ragtime- this whole show just has a special place in my heart. One of the most amazing pieces of theatre ever written in my opinion.
I helped out backstage with Les Mis for a local community production it was actually all high school kids, I tried out but my work schedule conflicted with rehearsals, but I had to have money for college and I told them I'd stay through til the end of the summer. Anyway I ended up taking three weeks off at the end of the summer and helped out backstage for the show. Everytime they did the finale I had to restrain myself from singing along backstage, it brought tears to my eyes every night. That is the ultimate tear jerker for me. It brings back so many great memories from that show.
My avatar is a reminder to myself. I need lots of reminders...

THEATRE 2020: CURTAINS**** LET'S HEAR IT FOR THE GIRLS***** WICKED***** KEITH RAMSAY TAKING NOTES WITH EDWARD SECKERSON***** KAYLEIGH MCKNIGHT CONCERT***** RAGS***** ON MCQUILLAN'S HILL** DEAR EVAN HANSEN***** THE JURY***
I almost forgot....when I saw the revival of The King and I, I was surprised to find tears in my eyes during the March of the Siamese Children. It was so beautifully staged, the orchestrations and the incredibly talented and delightful children were just too much for me. I looked at the guy sitting next to me and he was sniffling as well.

lol ok, this is going to sound really stupid, but I sometimes cry when I hear "Never, Never Land" from Peter Pan...Mary Martin's version. I always used to watch her taped version of Peter Pan at my Aunt's house as a child, and my Aunt passed away of Cancer not too long ago; so every time I hear it I think of her. Even a slowed version of "I'm Flying" can get me going. Bernadette Peters sang that at one of her concerts and I started to cry. She sang it so beautifully.

There are so many tear jerker moments mentioned in previous posts – so many that also affect me – that I won't be redundant, except to say that it’s the "golden chestnut" shows that hold the most for me. However, here’s one that I haven’t seen mentioned – one I'm almost embarrassed to admit. Heck, I AM embarrassed to admit, but here goes.
But with one caveat: I do think CATS is CRAP. Total C-R-A-P. But one moment really got me. And no, it wasn’t "Memory". Puh-leez.
It was "Gus the Theatre Cat". Contrived? Yes. Emotionally manipulative? You bet. But when the show switched gears from the maniacal meowing to this old cat with palsy, it was a "moment" for me.
Of course, the moment was blown to smithereens once Gus turned into a cat pirate in the flashback that followed. Erg.
I'm not a huge Cats fan, but when I saw the show in London, I thought Memory was actually quite moving in context of the show. I was quite impressed with the entire production. It made such a difference in the environmental theatre rather than the proscenium tour.

When I first saw SideShow I had no idea what to expect and I balled like a baby during "Who Will Love Me As I Am", "You Should Be Loved", and "I Will Never Leave You".
I have also managed to cry during Phantom, once out of 5 times seeing it. I saw Hugh perform the role and he broke my heart. I wasn't a huge Davis Gaines fan as I thought he played the Phantom as an angry sex starved stalker.
