Saw an Instagram post from someone showing off their rush ticket, and they got orchestra A 14, the last seat on the end in the front row, obviously marked partial view.

Anyone who expected this production to sell rush tickets for seats they could otherwise get full price for clearly is out of the loop.

Damn, that partition is high. I bought A 1 for $269, and I don't think I want to sit there after seeing this. I can't imagine spending $699 for front row center to have a black wall in front of my face. Fortunately, I have other great options purchased for different dates, but I was hoping that one would work out.

Someone in the other thread said the pre-show curtain is Grant Wood’s painting Stone City, Iowa.

Isn’t Stone City, Iowa the backdrop behind the first scene? It looks like it in the video of Jackman’s entrance.

That’s correct. Pre-show (and I’m pretty sure intermission) is the photo posted above.

Yeah, you’re right. I wasn’t familiar with that painting beforehand so I wasn’t tracking on that during the show. They look like two different sections of the painting.

Friend was at the first dress and it was indeed the drape of Iowa so guess they changed it for whatever reasons.

Pretty sure there's a front curtain pre-show. Why would there be a barn thing pre-show since they're on a train? Makes no sense and I believe I even saw a photo of the curtain.

There are multiple pics on Instagram from pre-show last night and tonight, and none of them have a curtain.

It appears that was the case for Saturday’s dress rehearsal, but not yesterday or tonight. The barn is effectively the curtain—I don’t see why it needs to align with with the opening scene.
