Since i decided not to risk it and watch a show right before my flight I decided to watch a show on Saturday. problem is i'm already rushing mean girls in the morning and i can't be at 2 places at once. Are there shows with easy rush? that you don't have to wait inline for a rush ticket. i'm looking at American sun, waverly, fact of a lifespan. or king kong, are there others?
I thought Mean Girls only has a rush on Wednesdays (where you have to wear an article of clothing in pink). Mean Girls does have an in-person lottery at every performance though.

^ what Wick said. They only rush Wednesdays. But if you do their lottery and lose, OOTI is a block away and happens right after theirs.
Guaranteed rush: HOH
Good Chance rush: Pretty Woman. Ive rushed it 3 times now, and each time managed to snag a ticket as late as 2 hours before curtain
So end of September maybe I just lucked out but I didn’t have anything pre booked and got lottery/rush/sro for: kinky boots, mean girls, pretty woman, Harry Potter, once on this island. The only one I had to go to the regular price tickets for was frozen.
I'm guessing it's a relatively new policy. Good to know though (last time I saw the show was back in April on Wed pink rush.)
" same here. people must not know about it. i live next to the theatre and there hasnt been a line in the morning for rush. except for the huge one on weds.

From that very link it says
“Rush Policy: A limited number of $42.50 tickets may be available on a daily basis and can be purchased day-of at the August Wilson Theatre box office (245 west 52nd Street). There is a two-tickets per person limit on rush tickets, which are available on a first-come, first served basis, subject to availability. Seat locations will vary, and some may be partial view.”
The Pink rush on Wednesday’s is still happening, maybe just for fun/promotion.
I haven't personally tried rushing any of these recently, but from what I've seen/heard it looks like Waitress, Beautiful, Chicago, and Tootsie are all fairly easy.
Just look at the weekly grosses report. Almost invariably, the least popular shows that are doing the worst business will be some of the easiest shows to successfully rush and vice versa.
Not sure if this is a one off case or what, but my friend was in town this weekend and rushed Mean Girls for the Sunday matinee. She showed up at 11:55 (box office opens at 12) and was still able to get two center orch tickets.
