star must be on her way out. how can rosie possibly keep her mouth shut on the subject of BGA (Big Gay Al) and weight-loss etc -- both of star's "Oh No She Di'nt!" places?

you know she will go after hasselbitch with a shovel -- which will be great -- but rosie is an egomaniac -- i can't see her sharing the floor with anybody. when the party manners wear off it will be a mess. i think the reshuffle is not over. there is no moderate presence anymore.

ps. kathy lee would be great on a big gay talk show. first of all, you always need someone to torment and KL, despite what you may think is a very nice person to work with -- she just yaps a lot about her husband, kids, etc she is a big fag hag in a good way.

Either Star is leaving the show or Rosie will tone it down. I don't see the kind of blowups that we're hoping for happening. If they do-yay!

I wonder what happened with Patricia Heaton since her name was mentioned early on.

Soledad O'Brien's name was also mentioned. Is her contract with CNN up already?

I think Rosie is clearly being asked to shake things up. That said, I wonder if there may even be a clash with Joy. Both like to get the last laugh.

Rosie will be a breath of fresh, gutsy air. I hope she makes mince meat out of Ms. Jones - That sanctimonious, holier than thou phony makes me cringe.

The View was a good program. I was delighted when Rosie left TV and saddened when a good show will no doubt be dominated by a obnoxious, annoying mouthpiece.

I think she and Jones will bury the hatchet, and/or enjoy their sparks. They aren't at odds politically. But I agree with everyone else that she'll eat the skinny blonde right wing whine-fest alive. Which is why I'll tune in.

I'd literally like to see her sit on Hasseldorka.

I like Rosie and it will be good to see her back on tv.
But I don't agree with her attacks on Star Jones. If Star chooses not to tell everyone how she lost the weight, that is her personal business and none of Rosie's concern and Star is not obligated to tell everyone every detail.
I hope Rosie won't engage in too many personal attacks of other celebrities. I think Rosie can be very humorous, compassionate and politically has a lot of important things to day, but when she goes off onto silly tangents like her recent tirade against Naomi Campbell it's not good.
As someone who has often been made fun of and put down by the media, I don't think Rosie should engage in the same type of behavior towards others.

I'm sure the powers that be know what they're doing, but I do recall an episode that Rosie guest-hosted, and the others could not get a word in edge-wise. On that note, I'm curious as to what will happen to Elizabeth. I just don't care for her and wouldn't be unhappy to see her go.

I'm glad to see Rosie making a comeback to daytime television. She took a lot of time off to do other things in between and I think people will be ready to see her on tv again.

Why would this affect Elizabeth?

Because Rosie is a loud mouth liberal, And Elizabeth is a proud conservative?

Yippie! this makes me happy! Yes Rosie is Loud, and kinda a pain in the arse, but Star scares the Hell out of me, so I'll be gald to see Rosie go at her (and everyone else for that matter!) on the show.
I think star is starting to look like a pile of melting wax, and I know that Rosie will not shut up about that, and ya know what? that's entertainment!

Anyone notie that Star is starting to look like The Lady Chablis in MIDNIGHT IN THE GARDEN OF GOOD AND EVIL? Just thought I'd mention it. (And have we seen 'em together?)

Because Rosie is a loud mouth liberal, And Elizabeth is a proud conservative?

Why is it that Rosie is a loud mouth liberal when she just wants the same things for her family that Elizabeth automatically gets for hers? She supports the arts and questions the crazy decisions made in Washington. Sure, she is a little odd and has a rather high opinion of herself, but why does she get the negativity of "loud mouth" and Elizabeth get the positivity of "proud" before their political choices?

Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

I, too, am glad to hear Rosie is once again hitting the airwaves. Talk about a woman with opinions, "The View" is the perfect format for her. Don't expect her to run out of the gate full steam ahead, though. Remember, Barbara Walters is in control. She created the show, serves as the Executive Producer, and her production company (Barwal Productions) produces the show. If Rosie gets too "out of hand" for the show's demographics, it will be discussed during the post-show meeting. Trust me, I know :)

It will be interesting to see the chemistry between Joy Behar and Rosie. Both will try to go after the laugh. I anticipate there will also be some clashes between Star and Rosie, ESPECIALLY after the comments Rosie made about Star in a recent issue of New York magazine. Although that is what the "hot topics" segment at the top of the show is supposed to generate.

When the ladies walk out of the green room and into the studio during the show's open, there is a sign over the door that reads "Make Sparks!" Rosie will do just that.

I can't wait to see Star's face during Rosie's first show. Joy is going to get a new best friend on the set.
I'm surprised by the choice, even though I love anything Rosie touches, because I figured they would try and find a new host who shared some of Meredith's qualities. I always felt Meredith brought credibility and poise to the show, only to have it shot to heck by those other hens she has to deal with.
As far as Rosie dominating, the show currently has all the women talking over each other, so why would Rosie being a part of that ruin the show? Let's face it, without some Emmy wins, the show is going down the tubes quality wise.
