Does Ben Platt have any shows that he isn't in throughout the week? Going to a Wednesday night show in a few weeks and wanted to make sure I don't miss him.... especially with the back to back w/ matinee.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe."

I saw the show last night and while I knew he was in I was slightly worried that his voice would be tired or his performance would be fractionally lacking in some way due to two grueling shows in a day. Not the case at all. His voice was flawless and he was giving a 100% performance as always. You'll be fine. Enjoy the amazing show!

There have been a lot of two show days and he's done every single one of them, and consistently sounds spectacular. It's called technique and training.

My sister was there and she said they were fantastic! Maybe Ben went back to LA for Passover? wonder if he'll miss any other shows this week w/ the holiday
Yes--first absence ever, after more than 150 Broadway performances, and both previous runs.

Did they keep Asa's voiceover at today's performance?

I was there last night. It was my third time seeing the show and while Ben's performance was still exquisite, he was struggling a little. He didn't go for a couple of the high belts (like "I never let them see the worst of me" in Words Fail) and he was losing his falsetto a little so he sort of whispered/spoke a few of those. After the bows, Michael Parker went over to him and gave him a hug and said something like, "Good job. You did it!"
I think he just needs a few days of vocal rest. I can't believe he made it this far really.
I saw him on Friday night and he was phenomenal! Noticed no vocal problems then. He pretty much blew the roof off after Waving Through a Window. Was so happy to have seen him! He absolutely deserves to win the Tony.
I heard he was out as he was very sick yesterday. I'm heading into town Thurs thru Sun and I don't want to line up super early for him not to be in the show so I'm following this thread. Does anyone know if he'll be out for Passover or the Easter weekend? Hopefully he won't be sick as of this Thurs but you never know.
I doubt it. The most important day of passover is tonight so he won't have to miss for that unless he went back to LA in which case that was probably the reason for yesterdays announcement. Though, it is unlikely because something like that would probably have been planned and announced beforehand. He's probably just sick.
He called out sick. If he wanted to fly to LA for Passover, he could have easily done so either last night or this morning and not missed the performance. That wasn't the case. He got sick, and I'm sure he'll be back as soon as he feels up to it. Probably tomorrow.
Bumping my question from before. It would have been interesting if they kept asa's virtual community voice in the show.
