Does this mean the show will be cancelled? Would appreciate others thoughts! This could also mean she will be bowing out of Shuffle Along earlier than expected and may not return in the fall as planned!
EDIT: Title of post changed from 'Is Audra McDonald Pregant?' to 'Audra McDonald is Pregnant' after official announcement!
Who cares about Shuffle! Lol It's not good news for West End fans who have bought tickets for Lady Day! It will be easier to replace in Shuffle Along. A whole different ball game for Lady Day.
As I am extremely nosey I telephoned the booking line on the website. 0844 482 5138 (UK telephone number)
The girl I spoke with informed me that the show has been taken off sale at the request of the producers. They are make changes to the seating arranges due to tables on stage, etc. The tickets should be back on sale by Friday.
Is that just an excuse and they are currently panicking? Or are they genuinely re-looking at seat allocations / arrangements?
I thought this was a discussion board... I.e. discuss, comment, speculate! lol
Also I do have an invested interest as I have already bought club table tickets for this show. Therefore, even if they are changing the seating I wonder if that changes where I am.
I think rearranging the seating would be a pretty elaborate lie to cover for something else. They could have simply said something about server issues or something along those lines. So I'm inclined to believe it.
But they should have just posted that on the ticket website. Speculations are bound to start if ticket sales just stop without any explanation given (except to those who go through the trouble of calling)

Or maybe it was the only credible excuse they could think of until they figure out what to do! I guess we'll find out soon...
I'm selfishly desperately hoping that, if Lady Day in London is cancelled or postponed that she will stay in Shuffle Along longer than scheduled...my tickets for Hamilton are June 22nd so I won't be able to see her in Shuffle unfortunately...her last performance is 2 days before I arrive.
"Contentment, it seems, simply happens. It appears accompanied by no bravos and no tears."
That's no one's business until (and IF) she makes the info public.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

She is a Goddess! But I still want to see her perform in Lady Day in the West End.
This is all speculation at the moment. For all we know she might not. They may be re-arranging the seats for the production and this board has been for nothing. But its interesting peoples thoughts.
Wow, who knew that mentioning menopause would get posts deleted!
