Audra McDonald-led GYPSY for 2024-2025 Season!

berniesb!tch said: "So excited for all the casting but MOST excited for Lesli. So happy to have her back on Broadway!"

Same here. Saw her twice in Matilda and enjoyed her and fell in love with her after seeing her in "Who's Holiday". As much as I love Audra and George C., I really felt no reason to run to see this. Now I am thinking I might, just to see Lesli!

Kimberly Akimbo to Launch National Tour in 2024

Might be why they are doing the discount here. Ticket availability is really good after the first night, at this point

They are doing a $31.00 digital rush for it here in Denver. I saw it on Broadway so I may try to grab one.

Just For One Day: The LIVE AID Musical - Reviews, News & Discussion Thread
 Sep 16 2024, 05:13:52 PM

Hope this makes it to the U.S. I so remember that day. I was living in Philly. Couldn't get a ticket to see the Philly concert at JFK Stadium so a bunch of us sat at my place and watched both concerts live on TV.

For anyone who has seen the musical, is it about the concert itself? It says it is about the day and the people united around it. So is there a story outside of the concert itself as part of the show?

Is October too early for Broadway Cares Windowcards?

I think it is. If I remember correctly it starts mid November into December.

James Earl Jones dead at 93
 Sep 10 2024, 01:06:41 AM

Got to see him twice onstage. Saw him in "Robeson" back in 1978 in Philadelphia at the, now gone, Locust Street Theater. A great night at the theater. I sat in front of Charles Nelson Reilly, who directed the play, and we talked about the show for a half hour after. I then sat second row center for "The Gin Game" on Broadway. A dream come true seeing he and Ms. Tyson together onstage.

He is a legend and will be missed. Rest in Peace.

I think that is the international trailer. It does show a bit more.

I just wish they would show at least a few short snippets of production numbers with them singing.

Edit: So shortly after I posted my comment, this article popped up on BWW...

HEATHERS: THE MUSICAL to return to New York in 2025
 Sep 1 2024, 06:48:31 PM
Maybe reading into it too much but the site says,
"You hope, you dream, you pray...and you get your way".

I know they wanted to get to Broadway when it first opened off-Broadway. I am thinking that is what is happening with those lyrics being used. But again, I may just be reading into it too much.

My first thought was Glass House Tavern. They are open until 1:00am on Friday. Hurley's is open until 3:00am. Both are right there in the theater district.

I was thinking back to school could also be part of the reason. There are a few schools already back but it is back to school time. Just my thoughts.

With the producers on board it seems, to me, that he is going for a harder rap edge with this. I will be interested in who they will have on this recording and hearing it.  JMO

Report: The Phantom of the Opera May Be Readying an Off-Broadway Return

First venue that crossed my mind was Stage 42nd. I could see a scaled down production in there and ALW has a good relationship with the Shuberts. Just what crossed my mind.
