Something equally aggravating to me are the people who have seen shows, but post reviews and comments indicating no opinion at all. Zero. Just a list of facts, like some efficient but brain-dead assistant giving a report.
And they're the ones who usually squawk the loudest about people who do have opinions.
Theirs usually go something like this:
"Saw the show last night. The lead was on after being sick earlier in the week. She flubbed some lyrics on the second verse of her ballad in Act 1 and came in late once. They switched her wig to blonde. The chorus had different choreography than the first preview on the big finale. They were out of the T-shirts in the lobby but said more would be coming next week. Three of the leads signed after the show, but that was it."
If your "review" sounds like it could have easily come from a piece of parsley stuck to the back of a seat, why even bother? And why even bother to say you've seen a show when actually you did nothing more than show up and watch the stage? Zero thoughts going on, zero opinions offered. Just a "calculator" in attendance, keeping track. Good for you.

Oh! And the ones who swoop down and attack other posters, but offer little to nothing in the way of an opinion on Broadway shows and theatre performers. It's almost as if they're lost and posting on the wrong site. They never talk about Broadway. They're just here to harass.

"Spiderman. Just because people almost died in it. Plus Spiderman on Broadway is ruining Broadway."
You do know that the specific stunt that sent the stuntman to the hospital was removed from the show, right? And heck, it's on the top 5 highest grossing shows on Broadway currently.
SO WHAT?! DON'T YOU TELL ME WHAT SHOWS I CAN HATE THAT I HAVEN'T SEEN! THIS IS AMERICA AND JESUS WROTE THE CONSTITUTION OF INDEPENDENCE WHICH GIVES ME MY RIGHTS!
When a person is involved in an intelligent discussion about hating shows they've never seen, those cast recordings are properly referred to as "soundtracks". Anything else is piffle.
I bought the CD (about 15 years ago) as used mostly because I liked the CD art. When I played it in my car I "hated" it. To this day I still have the CD, only because I think the leg in the art work looks interesting. I know, it's stupid. So yes, I hate this show without ever seeing it.
