I've heard that the auditions for the Bolan show will be at the end of this month.
Do you think this show could work? Any ideas on who might be Bolan?

love his music. could be cool... all depends on the execution.
I would put Will Swenson in that role.

Will Swenson can definitely pull off Bolan.
I think the show could work if done in the style of Hedwig and the Angry Inch (smaller scale, intimate setting).
Personally, I think it might work better as an indie film in the style of Velvet Goldmine; however.

I'm not familiar with Bolan's life story, but unfortunately as far as capturing the birth of Glam "Velvet Goldmine" kinda covered it already and not to great box office success so I would try another medium. The live stage could be fantastic. The songs are good. Although I don't think they would translate into the type of showtune that moves the story forward... unless the show was about space ships and rockers in other galaxies. That seems to be Bolan's favorite subject :)
