BTW -- when they did his background story, the underscoring was DEFINITELY a barebones orchestration of "Electricity." Listen to it when the youtube vid comes out. It's DEFINITELY "Electricity."
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

OK, and now Elton John is SINGING the song after the judges made their decision. Way to subliminally promote your Broadway show you produce, NBC!

I didn't know the business connection, but I definitely heard Electricity. Nothing like a reality show to promote a far better, classier Broadway show!
So, that was the Drowsy Chaperone. Oh, I love it so much. I know it's not a perfect show...but it does what a musical is supposed to do. It takes you to another world, and it gives you a little tune to carry with you in your head for when you're feeling blue. Ya know?
I loved how they played electricity and watching it with my mom and dad, they even reconized it. I will love to see him as Billy. Brought me to tears. It was a proper song in the background. I can not wait for the youtube video.
The ballroom dancers who are 8 yrs old, were terrific.
Wow that was completely shameless cross promotion on NBC/Universal's part. Not that there's anything wrong with that, Shows like this have been placing shills in competitions as long as shows like this have existed...This season of Idol was no exception.
I would put good money on him going into "Billy" after America's Got Talent just so they can advertise having a Billy Direct from the hit NBC Show...
Some people come into our lives and quietly go, others stay a while, and leave footprints on our heart, and we are never the same.
So true. I reconized other Billys in the finding billy documentary but not him. Now thinking of it I rather have Billy not coming out of a tv reality show.
He may not be Billy, but good for him. He's a great dancer and I hope he goes far in the competiton.
kchenofan's computer is broken right now. This is her fridge. Now, you can leave a message, but say it slowly, so I can write it on a post-it note and stick it to myself.
I had tears in my eyes as he danced and all I could think of was BE and seeing him up there...
