well they are encouraging the behavior to keep dressing up and to say that they might as well give it to someone who will keep them....well thats obvious. I don't think a line is crossed at all.
I mean where are we gonna draw the line with dressing up, bc I know alot of my friends who went to see the Wedding Singer dressed up in their best 80's outfits. Does this mean I am nutjob/crazy because I dress up in 80's gear to see an 80's show I don't think this is a bad thing to dress up in costume to a show. That is why they call them WEDHEADS.
I made a list of all your faults, it was quite detailed and lengthy too and when I read it through I missed you. Your like a classic Eagles song, you just cant help but sing along even though it sometimes gets annoying too. I just know I want to be wherever I can wake and see you there next to me. **High Fidelity**

My God, why is everyone making such a huge deal out of this? These girls are not trying to scare the cast. They are expressing their love for a show. Get over it, the show is ending soon and they want to show they care. If the cast is scared of that, well they have issues.
I'm coming in to this a bit late (sorry!) but wanted to comment on the argument that with the age group of the fans and the type of show, formal attire is not necessary for Wedding Singer.
I disagree. No matter what, it's still Broadway and I'm sure serious to those performing 8 times a week. I've rushed Wedding Singer twice (putting me in their target audience, it seems) but I would never dream of dressing up because I think these shows and really any night at the theater should be respected. I don't dress to the nines, but I also don't go in jeans and sneakers. I really think there is a certain decorum for live theater and don't care whether the show is thought-provoking and deep or just light-hearted fun. Everyone associated with the production is working very hard so I think the least we could do is dress appropriately, not be a distraction, enjoy the show and applaud at the correct times, and possibly compliment the cast afterwards at the stage door.
But, that's just me.

I've been viewing this topic and my opinion has been swaying back and forth. Bottom line, I say have your fun and dress up. Why stop doing what you are enjoying just to conform with what other people are saying? I think theater itself embraces the different and the unique. As long as you aren't dissrespectful, which I don't think you are, you'll be fine.
A dancer might dream to see her name in lights and mean it,
but all she really dreams is to make someone
else feel the way she did when she first saw a dancer.
And that is so beautiful-Anonymous
This thread is friggin' confusing. Just post the damn pictures of the so-called offenders and I'll decide if their outfits should be worn to the theatre or not...duh.

"I'm learning to dig deep down inside and find the truth within myself and put that out. I think what we identify with in popular music more than anything else is when someone just shares a truth that we can relate to. That's what I'm searching for in my music." - Ron Bohmer
"I broke the boundaries. It wasn't cool to be in plays- especially if you were in sports & I was in both." - Ashton Kutcher

"It's a great feeling of power to be naked in front of people. We're happy to watch actual incredible graphic violence and gore, but as soon as somebody's naked it seems like the public goes a bit bananas about the whole thing."
mmm missed something since I skipped 5 pages of this thread. What am I added to?

i thought their costumes where ridiculous. their posts on here and blatant disrespect for other theatre goers and the cast and the feeling that the performance revolves round them only, however, quickly grew to a dislike.
