Pink is going to put on a thick Cajun accent that nobody will understand and nobody else in the cast uses.

PINK was a guest host for many episodes of the KELLY CLARKSON SHOW this past season when Clarkson called it quits and was filming in Los Angeles. There's rumor she might be taking over the slot with the The PINK Show - and that could be the biggest reason she's moved East.

If true, she won't be doing a Broadway show 8 times a week.

She and her daughter moved to NYC and made it all our problem.

To the extent it is true, the kid seems sweet, and I think that Pink means well in trying to help her achieve her dreams. (Disclaimer: In my opinion, every parent has the best intentions for their child unless they themselves are so broken that that's impossible.)

That said, I also think her kid will look back and wish she hadn't come to Broadway like this, because a) every bitchy commentator, especially here, will say she didn't earn it, and b) she's way too young to be playing this part in particular. (And that's aside from the fact that I would be freaked the hell out to play this story with my actual family. If either of them has some bull**** "method" instinct, there's no way this doesn't end in tears.)

I will say, however, to correct a common line that's been going around, that this is far from Pink's first brush (and I do mean a brush, as she hasn't actually played a role yet) with Broadway, and not in that "I was always a theater kid" sense that she trots out on the talk shows. Most recently, she was offered Hedwig in the Broadway run of Angry Inch; farther back, during that hot second in the '90s and '00s when celebrity concept albums of show scores briefly became a thing again, Jim Steinman wanted to do one for Dance of the Vampires, and apparently that hideous key of "Total Eclipse of the Heart" that Michael Crawford and Mandy Gonzalez ultimately performed was originally designed for a cover by Pink and Steven Tyler. (Yikes.)

I personally don't see it happening on one hand, but on the other, if they did I think it would be cool. They would make their Broadway debuts together. Pink doesn't strike me as a mother who would move her family to NYC for her daughter to live out her dream and then do Broadway first. At least not while her daughter is only 15. JMO

I'm just relieved she's not going into Chicago. Chicago, and I do bless it, has become the Dancing with the Stars of Broadway. I expect to see Graham Platner as Billy sometime in October.

Her daughter is attending theater school. I am assuming there is somewhere she wanted to study and they have the means to make it happen. Her daughter is pursuing a career on Broadway. Nothing has been said that she wants fame. She could have done that in L.A.

So far, I am loving that she is taking an interest and even participating in, the Tony's, her child's life and ambitions. And I think after her hosting the Tony's, we are too! JMO
