I wonder if SJP and Matthew Broderick are aware of what is going on with ticket refunds? She seems very fan friendly on Instagram and I doubt she'd approve of something like this happening with a show with her name attached to it."
actually SJP has been pretty quiet on her IG lately. I was wondering what was going on. I’m sure they’re aware of the practices but it’s not their money and they don’t have control over that. It’s unfortunate but I guess that’s business.
i just got the infamous email about my new show date next May 8th with the same seats . Isn’t that very white of them. They’re holding my money for a year and not even courteous enough to offer an upgraded seat? I wasn’t going to dispute my credit card but now they’ve pissed me off royally so I think I’ll follow up with my cc company.
After all this bs, I’m not that excited to see the production anymore. Not a reflection on the stars because I love them both, but the rest of it is trash.
You notice there is no mention of refund. They provide a phone # that’s virtually impossible to get through in the hopes you get frustrated and accept the exchange.
Jordan Catalano said: "You mean the phone number to a business that people are trying to call after normal business hours? That phone number?"
No Jordan, that’s the same number they’ve had people calling for weeks and no one answers and we get a message saying someone will contact us. I don’t call after business hours. If you think this is acceptable business practice that’s fine but most of us affected don’t think it is.
I emailed NYC Dept of Consumer Affairs and they've already replied to me with a form to fill out. Maybe if enough of us do it, the theater will take notice. The email is my earlier post in this thread.
I just filed a complaint with the nyc better business bureau against them. The stupid link sent to me didn’t even work. I don’t want to me locked in for a random day in June 2021. Can’t get through to anyone. Such a train wreck. Hudson Theatre is totally disgusting

CT2NYC is correct. I was born, raised, and still live in the South, 60 years. I have never heard that expression used in any way other than ironic.
Those of you who purchased the tickets for 2020 cancelled run, did you also buy the $9.99 ticket insurance (it's offered now if you book)? Do you think it makes the refunds easier from Hudson theater if the tickets are insured? I'm not aware if they offered the policy on the previous bookings.
Yeah, my Mom bought the insurance and she received her refund in like 3 business days. They definitely prioritize people who paid more, but that's kind of how the world works.
My ticket was refunded within two days after calling the Hudson and talking to a very nice agent.
I did try to call right after I received the email letting me know that they had rescheduled my ticket for a May 2021 performance, but as others have posted, it would ring once and then go to a busy signal. When I did get through after hours to a voicemail, it told me that I could email inquiries@spectrumservicesusa.com, so I emailed my refund request to that address. The next day, I tried the line again and was placed on hold for 24 minutes, then the call failed. I tried again, and was only on hold for a few minutes. The agent promptly and courteously processed my refund request. Two days later, I received a nice email reply to my email message, and it mentioned that it looked like I had been able to get my refund taken care of already. That same day, the refund posted to my credit card.
So for those of you seeking a refund, you can try emailing to the address I mention above.
In today's world- where every utterance is viewed through a political lens, it is a very demeaning term- how white of you, how black of you- why would someone even use a term like this unless they were purposely trying to get a hysterical reaction from people? It is a racist term- and in my world- racism is disgusting on any and every level. There is more than enough hate in the world without bringing it on to this board. There are plenty of entitled people of all different races- and a heck of a lot more poor people of every race. People who still use terms like this should be ashamed of themselves- but of course they are not.
