I have lots of Beach Boys CDs, thank you. It's not quite the same in many many ways.

And to everyone else, thanks for your support! <33

Tiny, what were those pics with Milina from? She loves BKLYN? Just another reason why I love her.. maybe she could replace Karen or someone if the time comes!

They're on Milena's official website under 'pictures', then 'on stage'.

Dracula is getting a recording. It's not going to be the Original Broadway Cast recording...instead it will be the Concept Recording with more songs added and people singing the songs that weren't attached to the show. Frank Wildhorn is funding this himself.

Not to rain on your parade or anything. But, Dodgers had a major falling out with their rich Dutch producer who funded a lot of their efforts and he's no longer working with them. He's the one that funded most of the shows and recordings, and without him I don't see a GV recording happening. And Dodgers isn't going to fund it themselves...they had to sell their costume warehouse to keep breaking even. They're even having trouble affording their newly built Off-Broadway venue, the Dodger stages. They're fighting to stay afloat right now and cannot afford a cast recording of a show that will probably not do very well. I saw the show, thought it was decent...but I don't see a recording in the near future.

Kelly-Caitlin: Don't pay any attention to the GV bashers. You have to wonder why they take the time and go to the effort of reading every GV thread they can find and saying something bad about the show. Very unhappy people. I suspect they have hidden agendas. BTW, did you get my PM?

FOAnatic: You're forgetting that the lead producers on this show aren't the Dodgers. And, from what I understand, those lead producers have excellent funding sources.

Well I don't know who the lead producers are...but I know that being associated with the Dodgers right now is enough of a curse.

Yeah, I got your PM. I responded. XD And yeah, you know, I always wondered why people who're just going to bash a show even bother to read the whole thread and take the time to type up something rude. But whatever. Some people just don't have lives ^_^

And FOAnatic: First of all, completely off topic, Barrett Foa is so hot XD Second of all, I know that Dodger's sucks. But funding can always be found elsewhere. And since the songs belong to one Brian Wilson, I'm *sure* that if they REALLY wanted a recording, funding could be found and gathered. So, I'm not letting go of my hope yet. <3

Really? Do you speak from experience? I know Michael David, Ed Strong and all the Dodgers. I've worked with them. The Dodgers a group of people who have devoted their lives and their passions to theatre in New York for 30 years. They've nurtured and supported the careers of such artists as Stephen Sondheim, Des McAnuff, Susan Stroman, Roger Miller, James Lapine, Bernadette Peters, Mandy Pantinkin, Pete Townshend, Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick, Nathan Lane, Peter Gallagher, Walter Bobbie, Peter Stone, Maury Yeston, Ralph Fiennes, Jeannine Tesori and dozens and dozens of other designers, performers and stage crew members. Over the decades, they have employed tens of thousands in New York and on the road. They have also opened and are operating -- in the face of these trying times -- the first new 5-theatre off-Broadway complex in midtown.

I consider it a privilege to know them and have worked with them.

Ha, awwww. Bernadette. It just seems to me that they're hitting a tought spot recently with funding and all, especially with what happened to BARE. But hey, we could all be wrong. ^_^

And that's really neat that you know them! I saw their new theatre complex thing. It's really a neat idea. ^_^

Oh my goodness. Come on guys. Nearly 1,000 people have read this thread. In the time it takes to read it, you could have signed the petition already. Is it really that hard?

To those who have signed, thanks! <3 I'm hoping to at least get to 100 by the end of today.

"Theater row is not old at all."

Huh? West 42nd Street became theater row more than a quarter of a century ago.
West 42nd Steet became “Theater Row” in the 1970s

Sinemonine, are you involved with "Good Vibrations"? It seems to be all that you ever post about.

Bryan only ever posts about Good Vibrations and you don't see anyone asking if he's involved XD

That is true, but I know that he's not involved. He is just a cast album enthusiast.

There was nothing malicious or nast about my post; just a simple question that can or cannot be answered by the person that it was posed to.

No, you're wrong. Bryan only posts about cast recordings in general.

Sinemonine only posts when soemone says something bad about GOOD VIBRATIONS in a sort of obsessive way - and they know everything about that sad show and always comes to its' rescue. So, they're two different thigns.

Melissa Erico Fan - I didn't take what you said in a malicious manner. ^_^

And fine. I'm shushing now, Munk.

melissa errico fan: I've posted this before, but I'll happily do so again: "There’s no need to speculate as to my identity nor as to my connection with the show. I make no attempt to hide the fact that I am indeed a huge fan of GV (along with those associated with it) and that I do have access to accurate, inside information. Moreover I would like very much to see this show succeed. There's no hidden agenda here. Given the particularly harsh criticism the show has taken – particularly by those with agendas yet unstated -- and the wildly inaccurate rumors that have been floated, I want to make sure that there's a knowledgeable, accurate voice to set the record straight."

I'll go a bit further given the tiresome, continuous and, dare I say, obsessive bashing of GV, which a lot of people on this board have grown tired of. I first acted professionally 30 years ago and have been a card-carrying member of AEA ever since. I've performed in over two dozen musicals and I've produced on Broadway (with an over-the-title credit).

I could be wrong, but I bet if you ask the obsessive bashers about their motivations and theatrical credentials, they won't be nearly as candid.

But can I just add that hating a show has no bearing on whether or not you have worked professionally or not. AT ALL - that is not a valid argument.
