Looks like a lot of people went to the entertainment industry expo last year. I was there and it was pretty amazing to see everything they got together. The auditions and sessions this year look really great too. Anyone already registered? It's free and you meet so many amazing people. Definitely sign up if you haven't already!

That's awesome! Anyone else planning on it? What other shows are auditioning? And does anyone know what seminars and classes and things are being held that day?

I'm sad because I have a show that week, but if you have the opportunity to go then go! I went last time and had a blast!

"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"

"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofu

Someone suggested that I go. Can anyone who's been tell me more about it? Is it worth it to go if you're interested in the artistic administration side of things, or is it more for people who are interested in auditioning, etc.?

Hey Luvtheemcee,
Yea I did go last time and it was a lot of fun. Although I am an actor, I brogutht my two friends who were producers, and believe it or not, they ended up producing a show with another person they met at EIE that got accepted into the Fringe. So connections happen there apparently. Also, they have some pretty sweet workshops going on this year for the admin side of things. I would def check it out man. Good luck.

I registered today. It's always sounded interesting to me, so I think I'll go.

What exactly should I be prepared for? I searched the boards for people's past experiences, but there's not a whole lot.

I'm really excited too. It was great last time, I met a ton of great people and it seemed like everyone came out of it either with a new project or job or great contacts for the future. The workshops and seminars and everything sound really great and the auditions lined up are awesome. Can't wait to see everyone there!

I was there around 12 noon and the line was insanely long. Apparently they were only taking a few at a time, which sounded confusing and was very frustrating. Is it really worth the wait? I would guess the wait was a few hours just to get in to the registration tables.
