I picked up the book, "C'est la vie" by Suzy Gershman and finished it in two days. It was a wonderful book and took me out of reality while I was reading it.

Finished The Master of Go and How I Paid For College. I'm really loving Kawabata, but I don't think I'll have time to get to more of his books. Starting up on Sophie's Choice now. :)

I was reading MIRROR, MIROR but I gave that up . . . confusing and boring.

I am about to start ANGELS AND DEMONS by Dan Brown

I FINALLY got The Da Vinci Code on reserve at the library for me today, so I put Angels & Demons aside and just read the prologue which reads really similar to the prologue in Angels and Demons. Hmmm . . .

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Marc Haddon.

It is a little confusing sometimes because it is written in the first person through an autistic child's point of view, but it is really good.

I just picked up The Basketball Diaries and I am going to start reading it tonight. It is short, so I will probably be looking for another book tomorrow.

Without going to the link, should we all know what book Sharon Wheatley wrote?

No, that's a lot of people to expect that of. Isn't it nice I included a link?

I am actually not currently reading anything, but I have two books sitting beside me and I can't decide which one to read first:

HELL HOUSE--Richard Mattheson

OR

THE DANTE CLUB--Matthew Pearl

LaVieHilary, you might like The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. It's not about drug or alcohol addiction, but it's semi-autobiographical (that's a mouthful..) and it deals with a young woman having a mental breakdown. Not exactly like A Million Little Pieces, but I think you'd like it if you haven't already read it :)

MisterMatt: Yeah, I'm a huge King fan. Like I said, I thought the book was a bit on the silly side, but I loved it anyway. I read it in one day. As for Saving Fish, the only other Amy Tan I've ever read was The Bonesetter's Daughter, which I also loved... Should I bother with her other ones, or are they just way too "girly?"
