Baritone, I was about to post the same thing! I was always hoping Sean would stay long enough to be offered the opportunity to be a full-time Wizard, as he's been the understudy for it forever (and has performed dozens of times). Shame, though, that's he was never given the role, as it always went to a bigger name. He was a much better Wizard than George Hearn, at least.
Okay. Can someone or many people post one or two shows that all of these ensemble members were in ...? Who is Tyler Mainard (spelling I know ...) ... I'm excited to see a full cast list, althought it seems small to me when I look at the London cast.
MARK PRICE! HENRY HODGES!!! I <3 HENRY! I swear I KNEW he was gonna get this role.... =D Sean McCourt! He was my Wizard! =) will finally get to see Rebecca Luker in something...
maybe i'll like mary poppins after all. as a small child i was terrified of her! =(
I am thrilled that Daniel Jenkins will be back on stage!

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

I love Daniel Jenkins! I love him in the Big River and Big! The Musical recordings! I never thought of him as Mr. Banks, but i'm sure he'll be great at it. I'm overall very pleased with the cast. But I'll also miss Linzi Hateley as well.

Me too!!! I loved Rebecca in the Sound of Music and in the Music Man!! This is the 2nd Julie Andrews movie she does on Bway (granted it's not the lead role, but...)
I was hoping for Rebecca to be Mary but alas, I dig her singing "Sister Suffragette".
Saw him in "Mamma Mia" in the pre-Broadway San Francisco premiere, then "Oklahoma!" and "The Boy From Oz". I can't wait to see "Mary Poppins" on stage. I'm sorry "Sister Suffragette" is not in it, but this is finally a Disney show I want to see.

"Passions" is uncancelled! See NBC.com for more info.
Maybe they'll add Sister Suffragettes to the bway version. I really wish they would put in the I Love to Laugh scene too! that was one of my faves in the movie growing up.
"Have a child for warmth and a baker for bread and a prince for... whatever!"
Sorry but unless they change the era that the stage show is set, then forget about seeing Sister Suffragette. You see this version is set after women got the vote (well those over 30) in 1918. Mrs Banks is now a retired actress. She left the world of the theatre to raise a family etc. However her conflict is with George and his desire to see them entertain the "right" people. Move in the correct circles and not with tacky showbiz people.
You see Mary Poppins on stage is really about George Banks and his family. Not the kids, though they are a big part. Mary is the catalyst for this family to reconnect. Its a truley touching story and exceeds the film in my opinion. The emotional climax to me is when George Banks is on that bench and singing "A Man Has Dreams". Perhaps this is not what people wanted but I would suggest they go and keep Beauty and the Beast running for another decade.
Wasn't Sister Suffragette added pretty much as an afterthought to the movie in the first place, to beef up the role and give Glynis Johns a song of her own?
Baritone- couldn't agree with you more. Sean is such a great talent. I started to feel like it was going to waste while he was stagnat in Wicked for so long.... good for him!
maybethistime, when you said "Danny," I thought you meant Danny Jenkins (LOL) and thought why she/he calls Danny and Rebecca a family? Then I realized you meant Danny, the real husband of Rebecca! Yes I saw him in DC in L.A., and thoroughly enjoyed his performance.
It's good to see so many great actors wrking again/in something different. After seeing the show this past Monday, I'm Very excited to get to see Gavin Lee as Bert again, he's absolutely wonderful.
