Went last night, after having to rebook my Aug 10 tickets, and I'm so glad I found time to go back a third time. I missed usual box table seats, but to feel the mezzanine literally vibrate multiple times, especially during the Old Deuteronomy Dance Party, was something else. It was actually at that point in the show that while, I was cheering, I started tearing up, because I knew this was a special moment in the theatre I may never experience again. I'll always treasure it.
As always, the cast is impeccable. I missed seeing Leony this time around but Kya Azeen was a fantastic Macavity.
Retta was one of the guest judges, and for Bebe Nicole Simpson's ad lib, she did a slow, deep, "TREAT YO SELF" and the crowd erupted! I really wish the show had promoted these ad libs like Titanique did.
