a. wheelies are the nasty looking shoes that have wheels in the bottom. So when you feel uber lazy or like you just need to look dumb, you can skate for short periods of time and have an awful time stopping, and look dumb.
b. bwaybaby4. Please, get over it. every show closes. it happens. we move on. some of us go to our therapists (i do) maybe you need to.

"Don't worry, it should never be seen. It's comparable to Britney's hoo-ha." - being.jeremiah in response to the High School Musical 2 logo
"You look fantastic, all you need are high heels, cake and a dream." - Amneris
I really hope that they keep Flotsam and Jetsam's song from the Broadway demo... it was super creepy but also pretty freakin' incredible. It was probably my favorite new song that was made for the musical besides "Poor Unfortunate Souls (reprise)".
"The nice thing about the rain is that it always stops... eventually."
posted this on another thread, but for those of you reading this one...
For anyone who has seen the whole of Sherie's work, her being cast as Ursula is surprising because it is not what most would expect but having seen most all of Sherie's work the first thing I thought of was that the folks at Disney saw her doing Landscape of the Body which won her an Obie. Those of you who were fortunate to see Landscape will understand what I'm talking about. She was vampy, funny, heartbreaking and fantastic. read Brantley's love letter to her. And for those of you claiming she's too skinny, the casting notices said voluptuous, not fat. Sherie is definitely voluptuous to say the least. Remember Debbie does Dallas. I would hardly call her skin and bones.
Why don't we all just give her and the show a chance to start in previews before we start ripping them apart. She obviously had to audition for the part and has a good take on the character or they wouldn't have cast her. I mean it seems only fair to let them actually start performing their roles before criticizing them. Be a little open minded. I for one am interested to see her take on the part. She is one of my favorite musical theatre performers.
So... Ya... it is for sure that Sherie Rene Scott is Ursula and they will be using those heely shoes that have the wheels on the bottom. They have also cast Tituss Burgess from Jersey Boys and The Wiz as Sabastian!!! It should be an AMAZING SHOW!
Eww I think she is a terrible choice for Ursula. Amneris=Ursula?? uhh... no, they are nothing alike. She is not fat. She does not have a deep, raspy voice. She does not look like a drag queen. therefore she should not play Ursula. I love Disney to death but they are making a HORRIBLE decision with this.
"Eww I think she is a terrible choice for Ursula. Amneris=Ursula?? uhh... no"
Lizzy, you do know that Amneris is a character she played. She can do others roes besides that. The fact the two characters aren't alike doesn't make her less capable to play the part.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
I have never found Sherie to be the actress... i think she is a stunning singer but i can't see her acting the role all that well Don't get me wrong i love her to death but i thought in the last 5 years she was completely void for the acting part.
Emily Skinner was so mean and nasty on the recording i can't picture anyone else doing it.
I absolutely think Emily is one of the most gifted singer/actresses and loved her rendition of Poor Unfortunate Souls on the demo (and even more so at the October concert and subsequent CD), but she is too good for this show given her range.
Let her play something that is not Disneyfied and has a bit more depth.
