Anyone else go to the show?

Hearing that she didn't do any theater stuff last time she was here does make me feel a little better about last night; it lets me know that I expected/hoped for something I was highly unlikely to get.

Poor sound quality, I agree.

Oh yes, and she also wrote and performed a song about the Trail of Tears.

Did anyone else go to the show last night? Not a single musical theater song, though she was quick to tell us all that she was "home" and happy to be back in NYC. She did dedicate her song "Gin and Cigarettes" to Elaine Stritch, who she'd always thought of like a grandmother.

I'm not entitled to anything other admission to the show, so I don't want to complain too much, and what she did sing, naturally, was flawless and fun. But bringing Eden Espinosa and a pregnant Megan Hilt

This message, from Heidi:

I'm thrilled to be supporting Anthony on his awesome run for this wonderful organization! When I did the MS Bike Ride last fall, I got such a great response with this cockamamie idea so I'm very happy to crack this back open and hopefully help Anthony raise a little more money. TEAM work doesn't SEEM work!! So get those bids up, People, and I'll sing you a purdy song and maybe we can help make the world a better place!

Super excited to announce that Heidi Blickenstaff is going to be helping support the National MS Society by lending her voice to the Race to Stop MS, as part of the New York City Half Marathon! Info is attached below, but the concept is pretty simple. Give a chunk of tax-deductible money, Heidi will personally sing a song just for you and we'll send it to you online. We are limited to the 10 highest donations, so give what you can and you've got a good shot at this thing!

We are both big supporters of the National MS Society, and we're excited to team up to help win this thing together!

Once you've donated, let me know and I can be in touch with you on how you'll get your song! Thank you so much for considering the ways in which you can help support this cause, and for any donation you're able to send along! Sharing on your personal social media platforms is also helpful, as long as we keep this thing moving along. Thanks!

I saw the MUFTI they did a few years ago, Cheyenne was great, and so was Shoshana Bean. It was my first intro to the show, and I enjoyed it very much.

There have been a lot of folks who've expressed interest in tickets via PM, so I wanted to pass along this LivingSocial deal we're running. Hopefully this means more of you can come out to the concert. Cheers!

Haha, all I can say is that there is not going to be a professional recording released of the show. That's all I'm able to say. Outside of a private message.

Which Show Should We Put On?

Haha, I knew I'd get that question. We haven't finalized Sarah yet, but there's an offer out for someone. I think tomorrow we're announcing Sarah's Friend, JP Morgan, Brother, Father, Tateh, and Younger Brother.
Which Show Should We Put On?

So, Ragtime is rapidly approaching, and we're all super excited about it.

But, we're starting to look towards next year's production, and I wanted to just ask for a few suggestions. What shows would you love to see for just one night?

We'd be looking for a show with a lot of big chorus numbers; Ragtime is appropriate in that way.

Dream out loud everyone, you never know which show we'll pick. I'm hoping for The Secret Garden, but that's just in my own head for now. W
