This show is being re-mounted at the University of Tennessee September 4-22 with original cast members Jason Danieley and Hannah Elless (who are on the cast-recording). the other main castmember is Paul Alexander Nolan. but he's busy with Water for Elephants.

I’m happy they are playing even that long. I’d prefer a few more weeks into 2025, but I hope this drive people to buy tickets so it has fuller houses the last few months. 
The producers are smart and know they have a cast other producers would kill for, so they are smart to keep it going. This does kill the Joy Woods Gypsy rumours 

Oracle says this will take the Schoenfeld after Notebook closes. We’ll see !! 

There are only 41 Broadway theatres and Disney has had a show in two of them for decades. They do not change out shows unless it’s necessary (theme park shows like Beauty and the Beast at Hollywood Studios have also been running for decades) yes their are many properties ripe for the stage but do we really need multiple theatres filled with Disney shows? The only time Disney really develops new shows is for their cruise ships and licensing youth theatre titles for kids. 

Is the line in Shy “you can be sure, people say I’m demure” getting a reaction in the audience? Princess Fred is on trend! 

They need to tear down Milford Plaza and Hotel Carter - it is unsafe having deteriorated hotels so close to Broadway with who knows who living in them. 

Second Stage must really be hurting financially to only produce one show the season and have to rent out the theatre to outside producers. Hope they can make a comeback next year.

I don’t see how an 8 week extension would be possible if Cult of Love starts previews November 20th, with tech rehearsals and building a new set etc.

I’m confused about the Minstrel character in the show. It seems logical the show didn’t need a Minstrel, Wizard, and Jester, but the Minstrel character was in the last two Broadway productions but interestingly was cut from all filmed versions. Does the Minstrels role go to more material for the Wizard/Jester ?

Two Time Tony Award winning actress Helen Gallagher turns 98 today! 
Any favorite performances from her ? She won her Tonys for Sweet Charity and No No Nanette but starred in 21 Broadway productions. 

I am fascinated by the quick turnaround of this show after Merrily and the quick rehearsal process. David Zinn is the set designer and especially with this being an encores transfer I am hoping for a full set design that evokes the fairytale castle vibes that the story takes place in. Hoping for the best! The costume designs they showed on Instagram looked very elegant and well constructed.

There’s very little theatre availability this season. Most shows already announced are planning runs through Tony season and there’s several announced shows without assigned theatres. I doubt with the crowded Best Actress race Cheno wants to chance it anyway. 

Pre-Existing Condition, a new play written by Tony-nominated actress Marin Ireland, directed by Tony-nominated actress Maria Dizzia, has extended Off-Broadway at the Connelly Theatre, with Edie Falco joining the rotating cast in the lead role August 6th-17th.
