It's good to live in Boston! (Between this and Gatsby)
Anyone else surprised at this? After the last announcement, that this was in the works, I wasn't expecting it so soon! (But, truth be told, it's possible I hadn't been reading things as carefully as needed!)

I’m actually shocked that one of Chenoweth’s development projects is actually happening! And a new Schwartz score?? Incredibly exciting!

With you on being amazed that this is actually happening. Hopefully this is the camp fest it should be.
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.

Just watched the documentary... don't see a musical in it, but Cheno will be amazing.

For those looking to travel during the overlap weekend with Gatsby, I’d suggest: start looking at hotels now. Several big music tours are coming in that week and hotel prices are already pretty high as a result.
I just don't see this as a musical after watching the documentary and Cheno is nothing like the Jackie Siegel character so don't get it why they chose her but wee shall see?

Sunday in the Park with George
Tickets went onsale this morning. Pricing is pretty decent, starting at $39 and going to $229 or $294 for "Package Seats". I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing this one this summer and having a few Boston lobster rolls.
Pre-sale has started, for anyone that has limited availiblity to attend. It's certainly selling, but nothing crazy. A few dates are listed as "limited" but none as low. (Opeining night appears to only have made the balcony available for sale.)
Prices range from 40 (rear balcony) to almost 300 (which include a "package". I got two front row mezz tickets for 315 total, including fees. (139 base price.) It's a pretty big place, 1700 seats.
For anyone interested in the access code (QOV), ATG for tickets, easily accesible through the shows website.
