I’m wondering if “sweet” and the candy emoji is just referring to Herbie being in the candy business. Still a random thing to emphasize, but I can’t think of who it could be hinting at if it’s a clue."
My only thought was BDJ and Sweet Smell of Success

STEREOPHONIC Announces Final Extension Sep 16
2024, 12:19:16 PM
I finally saw Stereophonic this weekend (thanks Broadway 2 for 1) and while I didn't love it as much as the critics/other posters Sarah Pidgeon was extraordinary. She's the heart of the show and I'm excited to see what she does next.
Also Bright > Masquerade, sorry not sorry

I saw Marsha in Lost in Yonkers at Hartford Stage a couple years ago and she’s still in top form. Break a leg Marsha and feel better Mia!

THE ROOMMATE Reviews Sep 12

It seems like a lot of these reviews want the play to be more than it is. It's a Fish in the Dark-type lark that's not saying anything especially profound, but that doesn't mean it's not entertaining. Love all the praise for Mia though

Marlow & Moss' SIX follow-up, WHY AM I SO SINGLE? musical, heads to the West End Sep 12
2024, 07:08:40 PM
London critic reviewed it for the New York Times (gift link): https://www.nytimes.com/2024/09/12/theater/why-am-i-so-single-review-london.html
"Crowd-pleasing — though ultimately somewhat vacuous"
"The performers carry the show with their exuberant stage presence and strong vocals...but they are ill served by the script. While the depictions of dating woe are relatable and fun, the story has nowhere to go. The show fades fast after the intermission, when the focus of the characters turns inward."
"The writers have tried to make a virtue of the show’s shortcomings, riffing on the musical’s conceptual flimsiness at various points. This might be cute in another context, but when you’re playing a hallowed venue like the Garrick, people expect a bit more polish."

I was at today's matinee. The audience was usual for a Broadway play, with some laughing at inopportune moments, but I didn't see any behavior like what's mentioned in this thread, either during the show or the scene changes with Yazbek's jazzy music.
The play itself is very slight. Patti is never less than entertaining, but she could play this role in her sleep- though I did like her line that "herbs only become drugs when capitalism gets involved."

Patti says in this segment that Annette Bening was originally offered her role (definitely something the producers didn't want out lol). Patti seems like a better personality contrast to Mia, but we shall see.

bigbelterbaby said: "I’m happy they are playing even that long. I’d prefer a few more weeks into 2025, but I hope this drive people to buy tickets so it has fuller houses the last few months. The producers are smart and know they have a cast other producers would kill for, so they are smart to keep it going. This does kill the Joy Woods Gypsy rumours"
Joy did a good job killing those herself: "Sweaty oracle just be saying anything honey bun. Imma see yall at city center"
