Has anyone heard for certain who is going to be in Encore's "70, Girls, 70" in late March? Didn't I read somewhere that Angela Lansbury might be enticed back to star in the Mildred Natwick leading role? What about the supporting players? I know that I would like to see Helen Gallagher, Kaye Ballard, Hal Linden, Tommy Rall, Charles Nelson Reilly, Bobby Morse, Carol Lawrence, Phyllis Newman, among others in the supporting cast.
I don't think any serious casting has been done for this production yet. KISMET is opening on February 9th and I have the impression that it hasn't been fully cast yet.
I vote for an Angela Lansbury and Bea Arthur reunion.
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
But still, I'd love to see some of our favorite stage veterans to be cast in this show. Imagine Lansbury, Channing, Stritch, or Bea Arthur singing Yes, pure golden. And InfiniteTheaterFrenzy, I can't get over the quote on your signature, it's way too funny, gotta love Karen.
