I've read a previous version of it, and like a lot of Nick Payne's work, it is really fascinating in tone and structure. I don't think it is a spoiler to say it is about a family coping with the disappearance of their teenage son. It fills in information with narrative jumps in timeline, so you find things out gradually. Despite the serious subject matter, Payne includes unexpected moments of humor that catch you off guard. Lauren Ambrose, who plays the mother, should be ideally suited for the role, if she channels some of her "Six Feet Under" energy. Director Knud Adams is also a good choice for it, as I think he'll be able to manage the play's many colors. I'm looking forward to it.
