it was during SOL - this guy had his shoes off and his feet crossed up on the stage like he was at home...

i walked right up to him and continued singing - but *nudged& his feet off the stage with my boot!

I like school. I just get distracted, which makes me fall behind, which makes me hate it. re: The RENT movie date...

Aww Fredi you should have totally told him off and embarassed him! I've heard of these things happening but one of these days I wish I could be at a show where the cast stops to yell or embarass someone whose phone went off, I guess it's inappropriate to stop the show but it would be funny and I mean...how hard is it, it's in the playbill, they give you a message, and you still can't remember to at least put it on vibrate?? Gah!

Once at Hairspray the woman in front of me started TALKING on her phone during the show! We actually got the usher over but she hung up by then.

Some actor on the West End kicked a woman out of the theater because her phone kept ringing and he was given a standing ovation. That needs to happen more often.

Speaking of cell phones, this girl in the movie theater when I went to see Rent was talking on her phone during OSG. -_-

One time at RENT years and years back someone in the lotto seats broke out a cheeseburger. And whoever was playing Roger at the time (I could swear it was Tony Vincent) stopped and stared for a moment. Undeterred the guy kept chowing down.

He should have grabbed that cheeseburger and hurled it at the guy.

when i ushered Bway - there was a chick at Phantom giving her friend a "play-by-play" over the phone at the show!

She was way pissed when i kicked her out...

whish i could have stopped the show... but i liked my job re: The RENT movie date...

oh - someone asked me about wardrobbing... not sure how that really happened.. i was ushering and got to talking with some of the dressers and i had the sewing skills, etc.. so they recommended me.

Cats was the first show i dressed...

Today in math class I said to my math teacher, "you know, you like macabre things, you should go see Sweeny Todd!" And he looked at me and said, "you know what I like about musicals? Nothing!" We actually got into a fight...nothing serious though. GOtta defend Broadway at all costs.

How can you give a play by play of a musical over the phone in the first place? Some people do not deserve to see a Broadway show because it is just wasted on them!

But you know...really old ladies can sometimes be worse than kids. At least w/ kids you could glare and say something to the parents...old ppl, you can't say anything. Whenever i go to regional theatre where the average audience age is 60, all you hear is coughing, unwrapping of candies, heavy breathing and snoring. And at the Lea Solanga concert I saw this adorable old woman but she preceded to have a plastic bag on her arm so it just made noise the whole concert. But I mean...what can you say?

OK...having a cheeseburger during Rent is wrong on so many levels....not just because it's bad etiquette, but come on...it's a show about starving artists.....

Phantom was my first show, but it was the LK tour that truly began my love of Broadway...that show just blew me away and I can't WAIT for the day I get to see it again. I saw the tour in Ft. Worth, Tx in the fall of '02...I didn't see you, did I Fredi? (playbill isn't around right now).

And Rafiki is such an amazing character!! I can not say enough about the entire Lion King on stage experience...

This site isn't up to date, but I like it for seeing the longest running shows on Broadway.

TOTALLY unbelievable.

That's why I hope theaters will stop encouraging stuff like this. Movin' Out and Hairspray were selling popcorn and urging patrons to take it back to their seats. Ugh! NOOOOO! Not sure if Hairspray is still doing this. Bad idea IMO!
