This has been teased for years. I think they will wait to see how the live action version will do since those are hit or (mostly) miss these days. I hope they learned something from Moana.
That being said, this show could have always worked for a stage musical and I hope it happens.

Disney cruise line has been doing "Tangled the Musical" for quite a few years. I saw it and it was pretty good. To put it on Broadway they would need to add to it which is what they have done for other musicals.
