"Wild," performed by Shoshana Bean (Lucy) and Paul Alexander Nolan (Max) will arrive on streaming tomorrow, but SiriusXM On Broadway has aired it every 2 hours today.

The full album releases digitally on Friday, but it seems like most of the mainstream theatre outlets are getting exclusive first listens tomorrow:
iHeartRadio Broadway is premiering “War” at 7:24 AM and is airing it three more times throughout the day.
Playbill will have the first listen of “Hurt a Little.”

Kind of? But not really. It's ominous underscore music for a scene where a police officer investigates the vampire hiding spot before he gets bit by David, then there's like a quick little guitar riff before the first number as "The Lost Boys" title transitions us into the scene.

There is a prologue sequence in which a cop inspects the steelworks factory and gets killed by the Lost Boys, which leads right into "No More Monsters."

Will never understand the choice to use this band / music for this material. Good vocal cast on lackluster material not well suited for the story.

It’s not like the movie is some cinematic masterpiece. It’s just a fun 80s horror comedy. The score seems perfectly fine for this material to me.

The one time he's asked to kill someone it's a sympathetic target. I wish there was an Orin Scrivello or Judge Turpin type antagonist that could tempt him and add some... stakes.

It doesn't have to be a masterpiece to get the tone solid musically. The band choice for the material isn't a good one.

I thought this was a decent album, though the second half does worsen a bit as when I saw it live.
At its best, The Rescues’ music is infectious and even moving at times as it bridges the Broadway-pop-rock spectrum. I’m hearing echoes of Pasek & Paul in “Now, Forever,” AC/DC in “Have to Have You,” a bit of Coldplay in “Wild,” even some Evanescence in “War.”
“Secret Comes Out” has the musical feel of a Survivor tribal council, with the pounding drums and ominous humming. All that’s missing was some intense Fijian chanting.
This cast’s vocals are pretty good, especially Shoshana as she served up some delicious riffs for this record.
What was the context of “Brother”? I saw this post-opening, so it wasn’t in the show. Really digging this one.
I still don’t believe THE LOST BOYS will be around in NY around 9-12 months from now, as I fully expect this to take the DEATH BECOMES HER route and fall off quickly in year two. But hopefully it opens up some more eyes to this material and the national tour + future productions can thrive.

Some other scattered thoughts:
Best finale on Broadway right now, hands down.
”Lost Boy” is giving me serious “Swimming” vibes, from tick, tick…BOOM!.
*Those* two a capella moments scratch my itch in the best possible way. Hypnotic.
Lyrics throughout are hit and miss. Music and orchestrations are better for the most part.

All I know is they promoted the show on The View today, and if I was willing to travel to New York this would be the only show from the season I would have to see.

Have not seen the show. Just listened to it from beginning to end.
The music seems to fit the show based on the clips I have seen. Some of it sounds the same and is a bit "anthemic". The cast harmonies are beautiful though. A few songs seem to end abruptly. (Wasn't looking at my hub screen so don't know if Google/YouTube Music was just having a moment or not!)
Overall, I think I would enjoy the score more in the theater. The lyrics really seem to tell most of the story, which is nice, but some are a little clunky and I really think the opener, "No More Monsters" was just a bit too "foreshadowing" and a bit hokey. "Superpower" will go on my Showtune playlist though. JMO
