I LOVED THIS SHOW when I saw it in LA and I believe every board member here who saw it in LA loved it (Pir8Jenny, ESLGR8 and SingingBackup come immediately to mind). This show will only succeed by word-of-mouth. I have to say I do not like the advertising campaign- it reminds me of the failed advertising campaign for the amazing film "Ed Wood" about 10 years ago.
"It does what a musical is supposed to do; it takes you to another world. And it gives you a little tune to carry in your head. Something to take you away from the dreary horrors of the real world. A little something for when you're feeling blue. You know?"
The show looks SOOOO good!! I DO think word of mouth will help ticket sales. But that clip just makes me want to go see it right NOW. It just looks like...a treat for real musical theater geeks. Can't wait!!
I was in New York this past weekend and I walked past the Marquis theater and I think they were doing the move in at the theater. I love this show, I cant wait to see it again.
It does look like a lot of fun! I hope it does well just because we need for original shows on Broadway!
The key to the mystery of a great artist is that for reasons unknown, he will give away his energies and his life just to make sure that one note follows another... and leaves us with the feeling that something is right in the world.

Every time I see a post on this board about The Drowsy Chaperone, I feel like such a privileged person that I've already got the chance to see it. It was AMAZING, and I absolutely can't wait for you all to see it!!!
