"Sarah Jessica Parker is set to tread the boards in New York - as an Italian air hostess.
The 42-year-old will take on the role of a flight attendant in the Broadway version of hit comedy Boeing Boeing, which is currently running in London."
Not so much a new report, but hey... you might just get Carried away.
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
Love Parker and Gershon. It has been said by everyone else but it merits repeating, this really is THE season for plays. I hope upcoming seasons keep this great trend.

For cryin' out loud! How I'm gonna fit all these plays into a 5 day trip I'll never know. I'm still holding out to get Les Liaisons Dangereuses tickets. May have to skip Young Frank this time around - too many (hopefully) good plays!
The Overture is part of the show, people. Please shut your pie hole.

When I go back in the summer I was planning on seeing A CATERED AFFAIR and SOUTH PACIFIC, but with this line-up I think I'm just gonna skip the musicals and make it all about the plays (I'm already thrilled about seeing Laura Linney and Mamie Gummer in LES LIAISONS DANGEREUSES, AUGUST: OC, and TOP GIRLS with Marissa Tomei and Martha Plimptom).

yeah, I've never seen Rylance live and he's kinda legendary. As for Sarah Jessica, I really wanted to see her in SYLVIA (for which the reviews were good), and MATTRESS (for which they weren't). I did see her in WONDER OF THE WORLD, but it wasn't very good...I think more the play than her performance. Can't recall what the general reaction was. Anyway, I'm sure she is worth seeing. Now if they would just put SQUARE PEGS (now out on DVD) on stage live....
She's not doing it. The news report was negated by the Boeing-Boeing producers and spokesperson.
"The producers of West End hit BOEING BOEING have slammed reports SARAH JESSICA PARKER is due to take to the stage in the show when it opens on Broadway this spring Apr08.
Reports suggested the Sex & The City star would open the comedy, which is currently running in London, when it debuts at at New York's Longacre Theatre.
Parker has even been quoted, stating she wanted the part - as an Italian air hostess.
