Good show...hard on the feet and too many tall people and women with big hair. Quick post...so I don't know all the songs or singers by name. "Momma Mia" - Winner Takes it All - she did an amazing job...held out those notes. (The sound system sucked...many were under miked or not even audible - the girl from "Chitty Chitty" when the three of them sang "Truly Scrumptious". Ave Q - It's OK to Gay Jesse from 25th - "Im Not that Smart" Kelly - Light in the Pizza...main song I guess Cheyenne and company - Hound Dog, mixed with Teddy Bear Frenchie from Rent - 5000 plus - closed the show Gary Beach - I Am What I Am - PERFECT Harvey and Andrea - Do I Love You - VERY CUTE AND GOOD Motormouth Mabel - I'm Here or I Belong Here - Hairspray UGH - All I Ask of You - Phantom _ BORING - Why is this show such a hit? Chicago - If You're Good to Momma - she was GREAT! Producers - If You've Got it Flaunt It - Ula - sound was too low Sweet Charity - Dreams - the two female co stars
It was great seeing everyone...very Gay too....or at least Gay friendly.
Next year they need to put the stage higher, and check the mikes too....
No DRS or Spamalot? BTW-I think the 2 who sang "Baby Dream your Dream" were Janine LaManna and Kyra DeCosta (sorry for any spelling errors..)..they performed on the Drama Desks's as well.
NO DeCosta and Janine LaManna did NOT perform today. It was Annika and Joyce. I got their autographs afterwards. They were both very very good.
Joanna Gleason and Tim Curry were there presenting an award. Tim Curry was an ass and ignored everyone asking for autographs and just stood around staring at the crowd. Joanna did sign though and was very nice.
That's so awesome! I saw her as Domina in "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" several years ago, and I also own the recording of "Marie Christine". I bet she's great as Mama!
I don't know if I've ever had such a good laugh over song titles before. My favorite is "Light in the Pizza"
Thank you for telling us about the afternoon though. I was in Shubert Alley yesterday and last night thinking about how I would want to be there. But I did SRO for Spamalot instead. And was worth it.
I had fun today! Was a bit upset that Norbert & Sherie, Sara & Chris, Matthew Morrison didn't show up but was great fun. When Kelli was waiting for the music to start and the crowd was silent, I screamed "You go, girl!" Love her!
"I'm the STAR!"--Daniel Reichard during Glory Daze sound check
No Cary wasn't there. Frenchie sang Seasons of Love by herself. It was an interesting rendition!
I want to write music. I want to sit down right now at my piano and write a song that people will listen to and remember and do the same thing every morning...for the rest of my life. - Jonathan Larson. Tick, Tick...BOOM!
They really should have had people stand in height order or something. I am not VERY short, but standing behind about four guys that were at least 6-6'3 made me feel like a midget. I felt bad for people even shorter than me.

I had the same problem, TGIF! I thought I got there fairly early, but I still had all these tall people in front of me; I could hardly see. I'm 5'2, so I guess it wouldn't take much to block my view.
