"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

That's a shame. I really enjoyed the show. I actually made my Halloween costume to be one of the Duloc people because I loved them so much.

"CATCH ME IF YOU CAN for this soon vacant theater! PLEASE! "
I thought the same thing when I read this on Sieber's status. Now MINKSY'S can take the Marquis and CATCH ME IF YOU CAN can take the Broadway (or vice versa) and they can stop the tug of war over the Marquis. If what I've heard is true, at least.
To be honest though, I'd actually prefer to wait for CATCH ME if they're planning on making changes to the material which I've heard they really should do. I'd rather have it come next season in great shape than come, rushed, this year just because there's a theater to accommodate it and they want to open it ASAP. Updated On: 10/21/09 at 06:36 PM
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I'm disappointed that "Shrek" is closing. It is a very underrated musical. It opened in a difficult financial time and it deserves more credit than it does. I'm not upset, but I'm a little sad. Even if this show didn't have a longer run than "The Little Mermaid" it's not the end of the world. There are shows that were better that didn't last longer like "Legally Blonde," "Young Frankenstein," and "9 to 5."
