Big News

and

No, It Don't Make Sense

and my guilty pleasure is the screamer-singing when the real killer is finally confronted with the truth.

No, It Don't Make Sense

"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

I like both No, It Don't Make Sense and Picture Show...two very different songs, but still great.

"Pretty Music"

Yes, I know it's not one of the dramatic or emotional highlights. I just love the song.

I enjoy Pretty Music as well, and That's What He Said

Some people analyze every detail/ Some people stall when they can't see the trail/ Some people freeze out of fear that they'll fail/ But I keep rollin' on/ Some people can't get success with their art/ Some people never feel love in their heart/ Some people can't tell the two things apart/ But I keep rollin' on

I love "Parade"! There are so many great songs in that score but I adore "You Don't Know This Man". I can listen to it for hours, literally.

I also love "All the Wasted Time" and "How Can I Call This Home".

A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.

Having to pick one is hard, but I always go back to "What am I waitin' for?"

There's always room for pathos - and jazz hands.

Jason Robert Brown just rules! And it's impossible to choose. You have to make one giant track of the full show and listen to the whole thing in one sitting! My personal favorite show.

How about the entire courtroom scene. The music goes from one extreme to the other. Truly brilliant!

ALL OF THEM...specifically..."This Is Not Over Yet", "All the Wasted Time", "Come Up to My Office" (Best part of the real show by far), "That's What He Said" (Second best), "People of Atlanta", and I like "Real Big News" too...this is a truly amazing musical.
