I saw this yesterday afternoon and I am not the demographic for it. I have never seen the films and I don't really really like horror movies but I do enjoy stage magic so I was curious. I thought it was fantastic and a really great time with some very clever tricks that I still don't know how they pulled off. Is it the greatest piece of playwriting in the world? No. But there are some decent performances and thrilling moments and it's fun watching it with an entire crowd of enthusiastic audience members in it together.
Sadly, act two was heavily disrupted by a woman who refused to hang up a phone call she decided to take during the show. About a dozen of audience members were all screaming and shouting at her to hang up despite actors on stage...
