That's a really good deal, I see that it's not selling incredibly well. Madeline is most known for her tv work but she was wonderful as Sally, hopefully good word of mouth will spread during their run.

Went back this afternoon.

Nick is really in excellent comedic form here. He doesn’t get many chances at comedy so, again, I highly endorse you take this return as a chance to see him before he goes into CHESS. Chatting with him after, he also is definitely amenable to keep returning whenever they need him because he’s having a blast.

Madeline Brewer has a gorgeous voice, but she is still finding her confidence in the character a bit. It’s only her second performance and she can only grow from here, but it seemed like she was dipping her toe into the sillier aspects of Audrey. I also have a slight affinity for Sherie Rene Scott in the role because she was just so blowsy and campy and understood the assignment.

Reg Rogers is a dream Mushnik. He’s just cracked out, exasperated, loud, and leaning into the Borscht Belt aspect of Mushnik. He was like Vincent Gardenia on cocaine and I loved it.

Jeremy Kushnier, on the other hand, was very disappointing. He was good during his big dentist schtick at the end of act one, But he paled in comparison to Teddy Yudain and James Carpinello

At first I thought he was playing Seymour, but I'm not disappointed.

After his run as orin he should play seymour, it would be hilarious

Here's a very random question:

What happened to the downstairs space at the Westside Theatre? It doesn't appear to have had a tenant since LSOH began. Has LSOH rented out the whole building? Is there a sound bleed issue between the spaces? Does LSOH use that space for something during the show?

(not that I'm mourning the downstairs space and its horrible sightlines/columns, it just dawned on me that it's been empty since 2019)

Saw the new cast last night and let me just say,.. Joy Woods is a freaking STAR.

Joshua found some new laughs and his acting was great. Didn’t feel as over the top as some Seymours of late. Same with Joy’s Audrey. My favorite of all the Audreys I’ve seen.


Joshua seemed nervous when singing. If you’re a fan of his I might wait until later in the run when he settles into it.

Looks like Jordan Fisher will be the next Seymour based on their Instagram post.
