It is def. worth it, but I have to disagree with everyone that says Becky is so amazing. Yes she's good, but no where near my favourite Elle. Her acting is great and what she brings to the character is great, ...but I wasn't a fan of her voice for a large part of it and was disappointed with her dancing in Positive! (Hahah) Just that song...twice she seemed like robotic/didn't want to do it. And she overall sounded a little whiny/too "Blonde" for me, but maybe I was just expecting so much more because of everyone on here claiming she's the best/genious in this role.
The only thing I don't like about NJJ is the scene with Dewey + the trailer right before SMB...well anyway I just felt she rushed the line (and used too much accent for some of it) where she says "This is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me. Bar none!" Which gave me the goosebumps on Broadway haha but NJJ just managed to rush it/that accent!
And I agree...DB Bonds was a much better choice for Emmett. Otherthan that, the only problem I had with the tour was the windows in the beginning. It does look a bit bizarre with them all running around.
I have to respectfully disagree about DB Bonds. I did not enjoy his Emmitt at all. I didn't think he had a strong voice, his comedic timing was very off, and I didn't think he had any chemistry with Becky.
He was also very monotone during his entire performance (except the Red Bull part.) I didn't get a whole lot of emotion from his part at all. Overall, i was really disappointed with his Emmitt but maybe I caught him on a bad night.
I saw it yesterday and I REALLY liked DB Bonds as Emmett. NJJ made Paulette her own and I really enjoyed her performance and Becky's as well (having missed seeing Becky go on in NYC). I do miss the house set, but understand why it was cut. I do like the choice of doing "Legally Blonde" in the courtroom and didn't miss them cutting the singing behind the doors. Rhiannon was adorable as Margot. I was not a fan of the Vivienne though...but her voice was really strong. The Warner worked for me...and I think he sang Serious really well and I'm not a fan of that song at all. The guy who played Carlos though...was hysterical. Overall, I really enjoyed the tour.
