The US tour has dates booked until September of next year, so I don’t think it’s coming back to Broadway just yet.

Unless the tour is making a pit stop on Broadway, à la The Wiz/Mamma Mia/Beauty and the Beast/etc.

Looking at their schedule, that doesn't seem possible. I am not following the tour so I don't know if they have two sets and two casts. But even still it doesn't look like they could do a pit stop on Broadway. But that is just my observation and opinion. Looks like we will find out soon.

it would only make me happy if we are to expect a full revival of the Hal Prince version. One thing I think is just reviving the original but incorporate some of the new technology available, better pyro/lighting etc.

Or maybe a large city in the U.S.? I may be reading too much into the wording but it says "Let the audience IN" and "Are you ready to take your PLACE", not seat. I am probably wrong though!
