The general public wouldn't care at all and the show would make a ton of money like it's been doing. That being said, he made his stance pretty clear and he does not need the money.

Since Daniel and Emma definitely wouldn't do it, the only stunt cast they have left after this would be Bonnie Wright.

I guess millennials who were obsessed with this sh*t as kids are now showing their kids? I don't know, a child wizard book never appealed to me but clearly, millions (billions?) of people just cannot get enough.

We can sit here all day splitting hairs over the optics and how the legady of things has held up or not, but calling the books that inspired a vast majority of a generation to get back into literacy and reading sh*t feels a bit insane to me. I was around 10 when the first book came out - I vividly remember Rosie O'Donnell having the author on her show and singing it's praises which only continued when the book came out in the US.

I loved the boioks and despite everything she has done to tarnish her own image, I hold the memories of the books [and the films] for the magic it allowed me to feel as a kid.

Everyone's entitled to feel how they want about the books/ that woman and her as a person, but there's no denying the signficiant impact [in a good way] those books had on a generation.

Absolutely and while we disagree, I fully support you having your own opinion. I guess what didn't come across in the original post was less calling your opinion insane and more the idea of the books being sh*t given the impact they had on our generation and many after the fact. Apologies if it that wasn't clearer.

I thought the same thing. I suspect ticket demand would be close to insane. But I also suspect Rupert will do quite well selling tickets on his own. JMO

You know the franchise is making more money then ever the theme parks are packed the broadway play is packed. Everyone is going. He’s gonna make the play reach even more profit. Trying to cancel Harry Potter Will never work.
