The Madrid production of MAN OF LA MANCHA. The translator took wild liberties with the lyrics, to the point that Wasserman et al almost pulled the plug on the whole thing. But it's sung with such passion that it's a joy to listen to.

And best of all, two discs -- virtually the entire show.

I forgot, I have Chicago London as well which I really love.

Question is this the phantom vienna recording?

Isn't it supposed to be a double disc?

"Celebrating a birthday this week: Rene Descartes is 412! Do you know who he is? Then why are you watching this show? You could probably get into college and even get one of those job things. As for the rest of us; Amanda Bynes is 22! Yay!"

I love the Vienesse recording of Phantom of the Opera. The thing that sticks out most for me on that recording is that the orchestrations are more unique than the other cast recordings. I also love the Canadian Cast recording, as it was the one I grew up with.

I've always wanted to hear a Hebrew cast recording of a musical. Any musical really. I've studied Hebrew in the past and love the languages, so it would be interesting for me to hear.

Becky2, you should check out e-bay. There is *always* a Hebrew cast of Les Mis selling there.

Hay! Here I go again. No luck in finding that Vienna Cast Recording of the Phantom of the Opera.

Why did I just start collecting now?! (kicking myself).

Should I get the Hamburg then?

The Madrid Martin Guerre Cast Recording.

So deliciously synth-heavy.

I think you can order the Vienna cast off of Amazon.de, or soundofmusic.de

Chino. The Hamburg cast is alright. It's not the best. It has thirteen tracks (one of which is the full Il Muto ballet!).

The Phantom has a lower register interestingly. I say get it, because the German version is beautiful.

My favorites are:

Elisabeth (Original Vienna and Original Essen)---Pia Douwes is incredible.
El Fantasma de la Opera (Mexico City)
Das Phantom der Oper (Vienna)

How to properly use its/it's: Its is the possessive. It's is the contraction for it is...
